Jeff lay next to Rick. No matter what, he knew what it was like to be woman. The problem, Jeff loved to be with Rick. Thinking of Rick made Jeff's heart flutter. Jeff knew that she was getting comfortable in a woman's body. Wait, Jeff just referred to himself as she. Jeff also knew this was enough. Jeff's mind was beginning to think as a girl.
The next morning, Jeff dressed and Rick drove them back to Jeff's house. Rick had one hand on Jeff's left thigh and Jeff did nothing to brush it away. At home, Jeff was suprised when he leaned over and gave Rick a genuine loving kiss.
Jeff walked in the house. He could hear his mom was awake and making coffee in the kitchen. Jeff walked to his room, not his sister's. Jeff saw his body asleep in his bed. Jeff sat and checked out the machine. He decided that they would change back right now. He entered in the commands at the machine, but didn't activate any of them. Thoughts of how much Jeff loved Rick. Jeff erased the commands. Jeff was so confused. Was this what it was like to be female.
Then Jeff, in a round of love, put in the commands to make the change permanent, the machine couldn't change them back. Jeff sat and just looked. Did Jeff want to be a woman the rest of her life. No, Jeff thought. He wanted to be himself again. Jeff was aware that Lucy was awake and was next to him, but Jeff kept his eyes closed. He opened them and saw that Lucy had pressed enter.
Jeff looked at Lucy. "Do you know what you've done."
Lucy replied, "Yep, I want to be a man. It's a lot easier. You deal with periods and worry about getting pregnant. So, if you don't mind, get out of my room, Lucy." The name Lucy was stressed.
Jeff cried out for mom, who came up a little while later. Jeff explained what had happened. Jeff was surprised when he had tears running down his face during the explanation. "I wasn't going to let the command run on the machine. I really wanted to change back."
Mom said, "well, why not try and see if you can change back. Maybe it really isn't forever."
Jeff hurried as commands were entered. But at the end, the machine rejected the commands.
Jeff put his face in his hands and cried thinking, "I'm Lucy now."
So, Jeff started calling herself Lucy and Lucy easily started going as Jeff. But that isn't the end of the story. Lucy (formerly the boy known as Jeff) enjoyed being with Rick. The hard part came when Lucy saw Rick flirting with another girl at the mall. Lucy became enraged, surprised herself and wouldn't even talk to Rick.
But that wasn't the hardest part. A month later, Lucy asked Jeff, when should I be having a period. I thought I'd have one by now.
Jeff's eyes widened. "You should have had one by now, Uh, do you think you're pregnant."
Lucy couldn't think of that possibility, but remembered seeing a pregnancy test in Lucy's things. She rushed to the room, read the instructions, got locked in the bathroom, and pee'd on the stick. Thirty minutes later, Lucy saw that the little box on the stick now had a faint X inside. Checking the instructions, Lucy found out that she was pregnant. Two thoughts raced through Lucy's mind at the same time. First was, I can't be pregnant and won't be pregnant. The other was, Cool, I'm going to be a mother.
