Gillaume Fontaine de la Tour D'Haute Rive(Bill Dauterive) opened his
eyes softly, wincing slightly at the sunlight that beamed through the
chink in his mega-lo-mart brand window shade. Another day was dawning,
but not just any day bill remembered, today was his birthday. "Oh
well" He mused , leaning back to scratch his beefy chest"Whats the
point of a birthday if you've got no one to celebrate it with."
Bill swung his feet out of bed and slowly rose to a full stand,
groaning loudly as he did. He slowly lumbered towards the washroom,
hiking his loose fitting boxer out of his somewhat...over ampule butt
cheeks as he did so. Standing infront of the mirror he was greeted
with the usual sight. A balding, hairy somewhat chubby bear of a man
wearing heart spotted boxers and a white muscle shirt, though it had
been many years since the shirt had seen much in the way of real
muscle.
"Oh well, happy birthday to me" he mumbled as he made his way out of
the bathroom and into the kitchen. |
As he fished around his cupboards for a mostly-clean coffee mug,
something caught his attention out of the corner of his eye. A single
purple cupcake with yellow sugar sprinkles lay on a plate with a note
propped up beside it.
"Wh-Oh, hank must have remembered it was my birthday!" Bill exclaimed
aloud, perhaps just a little too excitedly. "Or maybe it was dale or
boomhauer." Either way he was tickled pink that ANYONE would remember
HIS birthday. He picked up the cupcake in one hand and the note in the
other, opening the card as he took a bite.
Dear Bill,
Some people are dealt all the cards in life, leaving others with
none, here's a little gift to help even the odds.
Happy birthday, and don't forget to make a wish
Bill squinted in confusion as he finished the note and chewed the
first bite of his birthday cupcake. What did the note mean anyway? It
was a little weird for a birthday card, but he wasn't complaining.
He set the rest of the cupcake down on the plate, not wanting to eat
it all and have nothing but the somewhat odd card to remember the
lovely gift he had gotten.
As he swallowed his muffin mouthful, a thought crossed his mind.
