OK, Tony thought. First thing to do is get out of here. "Mom, Dad" he shouted "I have to go. Cooperate with the police."
Dr. Mage effortlessly opened a dimensional gateway to the secluded location on the ninth plane where he stored his artifacts and maintained a bolt-hole.
In his elaborate sanctum sanctorum, Tony sat in front of the scrying crystal he used to monitor earth developments. Checking on Laura was always difficult, due to her immunity from magic. But Tony had developed a knack for focusing on things in her vicinity, and she was home at the moment.
But her aura was extremely screwy. It radiated the deep violet associated with the generation of life, and usually found in pregnant or nursing females. But she wasn't pregnant, and there was something off about it, like it wasn't really hers. But Tony could tell, even knowing that Laura was immune anyway, that she wasn't under a spell. Damn, thought Tony, it's technology.
Tony switched to checking on the Lau household. Yep, it had been destroyed. It was immediately obvious to the sorceror supreme that it had been destroyed by mundane, not magical, fire, but try explaining that to the cops. Tony realized that they were dealing with a major science villain. This was actually reassuring, as what Tony had been fearing was the return of the evil Kylie. Still, it was hard to believe the two events of Kylie's recovery of her memory and a major science villain appearing out of nowhere were unconnected. But where were the Laus?
Tony homed in on Lacey. She was bound and gagged in what looked like a science villain HQ, along with her parents. She did not appear to be in immediate danger, but Tony doubted if the villain planned to release the Lau family anytime soon.
Finally, Tony checked on Kylie. Her aura was troubled, a mixture of the pure glowing silver of the new Kylie with the dark purple color like a bruise associated with the old Kyle Perkins. Tony hoped the silver prevailed, because dealing with an enraged Kylie with her old transformation powers on top of everything else would be a lot for even a sorceror supreme. And he couldn't confront her directly, at least not in Glendale, as she still carried the "Transform or Dare" power.
Should he try to deal with Wonder Gal's condition first, or try to rescue Lucy, or try to resolve Kylie's struggle in a positive direction? Or should he use the magic of his sanctum to try to identify his ultimate opponent, because he suspected that the science villain was not the big boss?

The entity called "Animus" hated all that lived, but a special hatred was reserved for Wonder Gal and Dr. Mage, who had frustrated the endless pain and suffering Kylie Perkins could have inflicted on the world. He was proud of his creation, Science Master, who had come up with the strategy to neutralize Wonder Gal. But enless pregnancy was not sufficient to humiliate the superheroine. Making her vulnerable to impregnation by any living thing had been a nice touch, one Animus hadn't seen himself. Science Master promised to be a very useful tool. The superheroine could be forced to give birth to an endless succession of monsters, each one a witness to her bestial sexuality.
Laura's family dog, Michael, had been "fixed" many years ago. Animus effortlessly restored his long-lost testicles, and then sent him into Laura's room.
