Kelly was called into the Principal's office. The Principal was an older woman named Maurice Saunders and looked quite good for her age.
"Miss Summers, have a seat."
"Yes, Principal Saunders." Kelly responded as she sat down.
"You know Miss Summers, I can't help but notice that there isn't a lot of variety in our cheerleading squad this year."
"Huh? Variety? What do you mean?"
"I mean that every single girl on our squad is a pretty blond Caucasian. Any particular reason for that, Miss Summers?"
"Well yeah, they're like my friends. You know?"
"Miss Summers." the Principal's voice got sterner "You can't JUST have your friends on the squad. Rosemont High is an equal opportunity school. It IS the 21st century and segregation is a thing of the past...or have you not been paying attention in History class?" Principal Saunders smirked.
"OH NO NO! I just...well...cheerleading is all about teamwork, right?"
"That is correct."
"Well I just...I don't know if I could work together with...you know..."
Principal Saunders let out a deep sigh. "Miss Summers, I am not going to let you keep other potentially great athletes out of our squad just because of some petty insecurities about other ethnicities! Now there's still plenty of time to recruit new members. I recommend you get a few new girls on the squad who AREN'T Caucasian."
"But how would we-"
"Miss Summers, this is a place of learning. Either LEARN to get along with others or else I'll do it for you!"
"But-"
"But nothing Miss Summers. I think I've made myself VERY clear. Don't you agree?"
"...yes."
"Excellent. Now run along now."
And with that, Kelly Summers left the Principal's office not knowing what she was gonna do. Little did she realize, Miss Saunders was a Witch and had more than a few tricks up her sleeve...
