Just the first time Kevin and Kyle split apart, neither one woke up during the separation. They were laying side by side of the mattress with their inner arms under each other, and their outer arms across the other one's chest. Their legs tangled together, seeing how both of them were still wearing the one pair of shorts. However, the floaty was only meant for one person, so it slowly started to sink. Kevin opened his eyes when he felt water in his ear. He looked over and saw Kyle's head next to his like he thought it should have been. "Hey, Kevin, I think this thing is leaking."
Kevin opened his eyes and lifted his head. "Crap, I think you're..." He stopped and sat up the rest of the way, making the mattress sink faster, "No longer fused together with me!" Kevin let the floaty move out from under them so they could stand. They had to face each other wit their chests together because of how they were in the shorts. "Dude... I like sharing a body with you and every, but could you get out?" Kevin stretched his shorts as far as they would go and tried to lowered them around Kyle.
"And walk around in my wet boxers?!" Kyle grabbed the shorts and yanked them up, "No thanks... How 'bout you get out?"
"They're MY shorts!"
"So?"
They stood glaring at each other, brushing together from the little movements in the water. "Fine whatever." Kevin looked around then glanced at Kyle, "Where's Jake?" Kyle took a quick look around and shrugged. Kevin looked a little worried. He was suppose to be watching after him after all. He started towards the ladder of the pool, pulling Kyle with him, "We need to find him... and you can get out of my shorts and change inside."
However that was easier said then done. Kevin and Kyle were somewhat used to moving together with a shared body. However, trying to move together with two bodies close together was another thing. One of them had to go backwards up the ladder, while the other had to lean back. Once they were almost out, they tripped on each other and fell. They rolled on the ground for a bit and Kyle couldn't help but laugh and even though Kevin was worried about Jake, he found himself laughing too. They managed to stand up after a few minutes, and started back towards the house again, being extra careful not to trip. They bumped and jostled on the way, and at one point almost banged heads. Kyle laughed again, "Man, being two heads sharing a body is easier than this!"
Kevin smirked, "Like they say, 'Two heads are better than one.' Doesn't say anything about two bodies." As soon as they got in the backdoor, Kevin called out for his brother"
