Finally, when all the boys were done playing their basketball game,
they decided to pack into Dustin's car and head for a drive down to
the beach. Dustin knew a shortcut down to the shore, and he headed the
way he knew. Unfortunately for him, it took him through a small town,
where there lived a small-town cop who was very strict about speeders
and those who didn't stick to the traffic rules.
As Dustin drove through Carabelle, he passed a sign that read "SPEED
LIMIT 30MPH - STRICTLY ENFORCED". Hiding behind a bush, lurking in his
white-and-blue police car was Nicolas Beeman, small-town cop and the
enforcer of Carabelle Speed Limits.
"Ahh... This guy was going 42MPH... I guess I'll be making my quota
after all!" Nick grinned, as he pulled onto the highway and switched
on the siren and the flashing lights while in hot persuit of the
speeding SUV.
"Oh shit..." Dustin groaned, as he glanced over at his rear-view
mirror. "I hate these small towns..."
Dustin pulled into the eparking lot of a small gas station, where the
police car pulled in right behind him as Dustin came to a stop.
Ty, Allen, Kent and Peter looked on as Dustin rolled down the window.
The police officer was about an average height, with short red hair
and a slight muscular build and dark sunglasses.
"License and proof of insurance, please..."
"Anything the matter, officer?" Dustin asked him.
"Did you notice the sign indicating the speed limit, sir?" Nick asked
him.
"No sir..."
"The speed limit in Carabelle is 30 miles-per-hour, sir..." the
officer replied.
"And... How fast was I going?"
"Oh you were going close to forty-five miles-per-hour, sir..." Nick
replied calmly.
All four, Peter, Allen, Ty and Kent gasped when they heard that! They
knew that Dustin was going slower than that!
"This is going to cost you, son..." the officer said, as he began to
fill in a form on a clipboard.
Ty became angry. No way would he allow this!
He focused on the officer and put his power to use, wishing for the
officer to regress into a teen, the same age as Kent and Peter.
Suddenly, the officer's black uniform began to fit loose. His shirt
and bulletproof vest began to fit very loose as well. His utility belt
got very wide and his boots were too big! Then, his belt got too loose
on him, and his pants began to sag on him!
"Hey... what is going on..."
Nick stopped and walked back to his car.
His shirt was way too big as Nick regressed back into his twenties.
He stepped out of his shining black boots, which were now way too big,
as Nick was now a teenager!
His pants now fell to the ground, now longer able to hold up to his
diminishing waistline.
"Ack!"
His shirt was draped over his waist as his sleeves were too long. He
pulled his shirt off, standing there wearing just his jock strap.
Everything else just fell from his smaller frame onto the ground
besides the police car!
By now, Nick had regressed into a ten-year-old boy, stander there,
feeling helpless!
Ty snapped his fingers, and his jock turned into a speedo.
"Come join us, Nick! We're going to the beach!" Dustin shouted.
Then Nick just ran towards the SUV and jumped in. What else could he
do? Nick joined the boys and went swimming.
Another officer later on found the abandoned police car, with Nick's
uniform on the ground, wondering what had happened to officer Nick
Beeman...
