"Dana! Bara!"
The two new fiends, former humans shuddered at the underworld princess came skipping
down the stairs, still in the form of a simple teenage child besides her obvious non-human
feature. Not wearing anything except jewelry now she approached the two of them.
She put her hands on both their shoulders, they shuddered again.
"I forgot tell you. Feel free to any members of your family or personal friends of yours to
'up-lifted' from being more than simply fiends super specialized for one particular task. I'm
going to be ruling an entire universe after all, or rather a domain the size of a universe
once this reality becomes part of the neither.
And it would be just too disorienting not to have any nobility class fiends around to do
most of the paper work and plot against me behind my back, I mean, what kind of overlord
would I be if I didn't-?! My parents said having those sort of thing keeps an overlord's wits
sharp. Some of the few useful pieces of advice they bothered to give me! And don't you
worry, both you girls are already part of my new upper class! But don't try to attack me in
my sleep because I'll rip your hearts out and eat them. . . . well, I'll be back to inspect your
work in a bit! Tootles!"
And Astara simply skipped up the dungeon steps again, going to work about enforcing the
protective geasses around the school she was twisting into her palace. Dana and Bara were
left confused at Astara's actions.
Astara back upstairs held a hand to her head. When she had created false memories for the
entire school of her always having been a student, she hadn't expected the feedback to
cause her to experience those false memories first hand. It made her feel weird.
Oh she still intended to turn this realm into a world of fiends born of humans, as Dana and
Bara had proven how great they could be, and she still intended to rule over it as a proper
and upright evil overlord. She couldn't help but feel empathy the classmates and 'friends'
she had in her false memories she knew were false.
She didn't intend to stop of course, in fact, turning them into fiends felt even MORE like the
right thing to do now. She imagined for them the best comparison was if you made friends
with chimps and had the power to make them fully rational and intelligent humans.
