Finally the bell rang. Jennifer went rushing out, eager to leave that boring pit of torture. She walked home,
but she eventually stopped at the farm again.
"Why am I here? Wait, what's my address!? Why do I know the address of this farm!? How!?" Jen was scared. She
walked to the front door, pulled her key from her pocket, and was able to open the door with it. A man was in
the kitchen. He saw Jen, got up and walked toward her.
"Come on Jen, time to get to work."
"Work? What?"
"Don't play dumb, you aren't your little sister or brother, you got to be a role model for them."
"Brother? Sister?"
"Jesus Christ, Jen. Are you really going bonkers? Get the crud ou of your head already. Listen, you just go to
the stables and take the horses out onto the pasture. They can't stay in those cramped stables forever ya
know."
"Alright?" Jen decided to follow orders. Odd, since she never took orders before. She went over to the stables
and opened the doors, and leading the horses into the pasture. They followed without question or resisting.
She closed the gate on the pasture, and walked inside the house. She did all of her homework assigned to her.
Not being able to focus on the count of how strange this situation was.
"Alright Jen, it's getting late, bring em inside and feed em." the man said. Jen took them back to the inside
of the stable and closed the doors. She gave all the horses hay, which they ate, and Jen left.
The rest of the day was even stranger. Jennifer learned she was actually the daughter of these farm folk. She
tried to say she wasn't but the words wouldn't leave her mouth for some reason. She was scared. During dinner,
Jen learned the name of her family members.
Margaret, mom. Paul, dad. Mary, sister. Bill, brother. Benjamin, dog.
"Well, tomorrow we're gonna sell some of the horses, the police needs a couple for mounted patrol." he said.
"Oh well that's nice." said her mother.
The rest of the conversation was Paul bragging about how great his horses were and why they chose the farm out
of all the other farms.
Later at night...
