Josh had been standing outside Kevin's house for a few minutes, debating if he should knock. He was half tempted to just take off, and leave Kyle stuck to whoever. But the other half of him knew he had to get stuck to his brother. He knocked. There was no answer, so he tried the doorknob. Josh was surprised it wasn't locked, and entered the house, "Hello? Is anyone here?"
"Josh?! Is that you?!" Kyle had poked his head around the corner. He stared at Josh as he spoke, "What are you doing here?"
Josh gave him an irritated look, and spoke sarcastically "You and me are suppose to become body brothers, remember!"
"Ya... like I could forget, but that still doesn't answer my question." Kyle walked out of the kitchen with Jake in tow. "I was honestly expecting you to not show up, and say screw the whole plan thing."
Josh couldn't help but smirk. Kyle had been right, Josh was going to screw the plan. "Ya well, all I need is dad reaming me out when it comes around to me and him." Josh looked at the joined pair expectantly, "So... are we getting on with this crap, or..." Kyle let out a sigh. He took one chain from Jake, and tossed it to Josh. In seconds, kyle and Josh were reluctantly conjoined again. Josh was about to leave, but Kyle wasn't leaving Jake alone. He had promised Kevin that Jake would get to school safely. Jake had taken off, while Kyle dragged Josh upstairs, so he could get his clothes back.
After a few minutes of bickering, they headed back to Kyle's house. Josh and Kyle were suppose to drive to school, and drop of Jake, then hide somewhere till Kevin could relieve Josh around lunch. But as Jake sat in the car, ready to go, Josh had a different idea. He had pulled them in the house, went up to his room, and waited. Kyle was already annoyed, and was becoming impatient, "Ok, Josh, Let's go, Jake's going to be late."
"Just shut up and wait." Josh turned so he wouldn't have to look at Kyle. Kyle had started towards the door, but Josh caught on and locked his leg in place. Kyle started to swear, and literally dragged Josh along. Josh gave his brother a shove, and made his leg go limp, letting all his weight drag them to the floor. Kyle was livid. They were rolling around, yelling and hitting each other. They were in the heat of things when the doorbell rang. They froze, and looked at each other.
"I bet that's Jake, wondering where the hell we are!" Kyle grumbled and went to stand. Surprisingly Josh stood up with him. But as Kyle was about to open the door, Josh knocked his hand away.
"It's not Jake you idiot." Josh opened the door a crack and yelled down the hall, for whoever was at the door, to come in. Kyle glared at Josh, half anger, half scared. Josh warned for Kyle to keep his mouth shut. As they waited, Kyle could feel their heart racing, and he really wanted to hide somewhere. Kyle held their breathe. Whoever it was, was on the other side of the door now.
"Josh?" came the voice, and Kyle instantly knew it as Dan's, Josh's best friend.
"Ya man, I'm here. Hey want to do me a big favor?"
"Um, ok?"
Josh reached over, and took the chain from Kyle's neck, and passed it through the crack in the door. "Kyle's been trying to steel this from me. In fact I just took it from him, and he's trying to hold the door closed." Josh kicked Kyle, who let out a cry of pain. "But I don't think he'd try and take it from you. For some reason, who two don't seem to mind each other. So, if you could put this on, that would be great!" Kyle's eyes widened, as he and Josh came apart. Josh however gave him an evil grin and let the door open, "Now get out of my room and don't let me catch you trying to steal my shit again!" Kyle was shoved through the door. He turned around just in time to see Dan walk in, and fuse with Josh, who closed the door as fast as he could.
