"Hmm, I knew you two had some friction, but I never expected you to get rid of Dan so fast" replied Kat's mom in a surprisingly nonchalant tone.
"You guys aren't mad? I mean, after turning Dan into, well, you know what?" Kat said in an attempt to clarify the confusing situation.
"Oh sweetie, you got a lot to learn about being a witch. After all, if you can use magic to eat a person, isn't it likely there's some to bring them back?"
"I can't even count the number of times your mother has eaten me for punishment! Remember those surprise buisness trips I used to take where I'd be gone for days at a time?" Her father continued with. This statement shocked her the most. Even though it made sense that her mom would have used magic on her family at some points, the mere fact that she was going to have to reevaluate her whole life in terms of magical parentage was worrisome. Never the less, she pushed her worries back in order to keep the conversation flowing.
"Ah, right, guess that'd explain her fully belly whenever you'd leave. Though do we gotta bring Dan back? It seems like you're ruining my present by undoing what I did..."
