The former schoolgirl had been reduced into a mermaid figurine right infront of my eyes.
I felt my heart race at the thought that the ring actually worked and all dreams could come true.
Instead of heading out on the bus I decided to walk back home and experiment with the ring some more.
The walk wasn't long as I lived not far from the bus-stop. Upon arrival I took out my keys, unlocked the door and walked inside closing it behind me.
My parents were out and weren't due back till later this evening so I didn't have to worry about any of them intruding except my younger sister who was going to be back home when after school.
My sister was 3 years younger than me and wasn't in secondary school yet so I didn't have to worry about her finding out that I didn't go to school.
As a precaution I wished that nobody thought it was odd that I didn't attend school today.
Entering my bedroom I placed the mermaid figuring on my desk; her eyes were clouded and her facial expression showed her smiling. Dropping my school bag on my bed, closing my door and then sitting down on my desk chair I lowered my head to the figurine and inspected it.
The detail level on the figurine seemed far too realistic and I had proven earlier that the skin on the figurine was life like as well, it was almost as if she was real just holding a position. It was then that a wish came to mind.
"I wish that when this figurine's tail is wet it will come to life and when it's tail is dry it will return to its state of being inanimate" I said thinking how interesting it would be to have somebody I could test the rings abilities with.
I then went over to my school bag and took out a water bottle to pour some liquid on the figurine's tail.
Just before pouring the water on her tail I quickly wished she wouldn't freak out or anything.
As the water poured onto her tail the figurine came to life; the eyes began gaining colour and the mermaid girl's posture fell apart as she was no longer able to stand up with a tail and found herself falling over onto her back before rolling over and using her arms which had only just come to life to help support her up off the weird surface she now found herself on.
"What? Where am I?" The tiny mermaid girl asked looking around.
You could only grin as you watched the tiny girl try to come to grips with what was going on around her, she wasn't freaking out but she did have a look confusion on her face.
"My room" I replied picking the tiny mermaid up from her tail; it slapped back and forth as if it instictively wanted to move like a fish in water.
"How did I?" The girl continued speaking very gently as she felt herself being lifted into the air by a giantess who was holding her up by her tail and waist. It was really odd because the girl didn't remember having a tail.
"I wished it to happen. What is your name?" I asked
