You ponder your situation for a minute; do you go back to your human life or stay here and be an animal? You know that as an animal you’d never see your family or friends again, but you cold be free to run and play all day. Yes it would be a simple life BUT you would be free.
You turn around and look at female; you feel a strange bond with her. You don’t want to just leave her here. You think back to your human life, paying bills, school, homework, getting a job, office politics etc. You then think about life here. Getting to play and cuddle up with a obviously friendly female, being able to live as nature intended, being able to run and play for hours with no worries about wasting time or having to stop playing to do homework or go to work or school.
You make your decision; you want to stay this way. You turn back and go for the water to get another fish. As you start pawing at it, the female walks up behind you.
“Are you sure you want to do this? Once you’re an animal there’s no going back, even leaving this place won’t change you back. This is what you will be, are you sure that’s what you want” she asks as she softly touches the fur on your back.
“Yes, it’s what I want” you say as you successfully grab a fish and hold it in your sensitive paws. Your turn around and looking at the female in the eyes. You bring the fish up to your mouth and take in its scent. The smell of it makes your stomach rumble. You grin and quickly open your mouth and gobble it down. It tastes incredible. As you finish it off, a strange feeling comes over you, a feeling of finality. Your new body feels natural and much more real; it feels as if it is truly yours instead of just a temporary shell. A feeling of euphoria and joy overtakes you, you truly feel as if you really are a raccoon and not simply a human in the body of one. You walk up to the female and sniff her, taking in her scents and find yourself churring happily.
“How do you feel?” she asks.
“I feel incredible” you respond happily. She smiles and gently licks your muzzle.
“So what do you want to do now?” she asked. A series of potential things to do go through your mind. After several seconds you give her your answer.
