Jen picked up her phone, "I'll just tell her I'm sick, then she'll come home and I'll tell her everything!" she began to dial the number,
304-555-2435 She mumbled, then put the phone up to her ear. It rang about 5 times before her mom had picked up. "Hello?" came a
sweet and cheerful voice on the other line, "Mom, I'm sick you need to come home." Jen said, shakiness in her voice. "Jen? What type
of sickness? Dogs are usually pretty healthy, maybe you ate too much kibble this morning." Jen's mom insisted. Jen's mouth dropped
open, "You're joking right? Tell me you're joking!" Jen's mom chuckled, "Jenny calm down! It must have been the new kibble, simmer
down." She said. "Mom! I'm not a dog! What are you saying?" Jen practically screamed over the phone. "Jen quiet! You are a dog! We
raised you as a dog! You have a tail and dog ears, you growl, howl, and bark. Therefore you are a dog!" Jen's mom scolded. Jen stood
there teary eyed, she slammed the phone down and flopped on her bed. "This isn't right! I'm obviously not a dog!" She lay face down,
her head hidden in a pillow, her tail flopping down on her bare legs, ears folded down. She silently whimpered in her pillow, then drifted
to a deep sleep.
