There was a woman sitting in front of him. To call the thing she sat upon a chair was a large understatement, with its intricate carvings, lavish cushions, and many embellishments. The woman herself appeared to be in her mid seventies, but her eyes betrayed a soul that has seen many more years than that. She had obviously been a beauty in her younger days, and wore much makeup. Her dress appeared to be made of silk. But what struck Mitch the mast about this woman is that she seemed familiar somehow, as if he had seen her somewhere before.
"I see you can see the family resemblance. I wish to save my time for important maters so I'll spare you that time to make the connection. I am Madame de Angelo, grandmother of the wizard Damien. As you are bound to this amulet, you must have already met my grandson."
Mitch did remember the name Damien. The evil wizard from last night’s opera had been named that. After a few moments he remembered Madame de Angelo from the story as well. She had been the true villain of the story, manipulating and controlling her grandson to her own ends. Realization hit Mitch like a train wreck.
"Are you saying you are from that opera last night? That's impossible!"
"If it was impossible would you be her now dressed like that?" asked Madame de Angelo. Mitch had no reply to this. She continued he speech. "We always knew we were characters in an opera and were forced to repeat the same actions each time the show was preformed. But I longed to escape the the Outland. After almost a century of experimentation, I was finally able to discover a spell that would take me there. Those imbeciles in Jurisfiction didn't discover this until too late. In a world such as this, only we can use magic! Antagonist can win! I sent my grandson out to find minions for us using his amulet. Apparently he has forgotten. He must be disciplined. But you are here now. What shall I do to you?"
