Mitch started to look for practice. But his mind was going foggy. Where is practice.
He stood there in the middle of his living room dressed in his New York Yankees uniform trying to remember
where practice was. Someone came in with a tray and said sit down lets have a little breakfast.
Mitch didn't know who this person was but he seemed to know Mitch.
Mitch sat in his big blue recliner and the cute guy pulled over a tray that slid over the side of the recliner
Mitch was in.
Are we having a bad day the stranger said.
Who are you?
You know who I am I am Michael you partner.
Mitch tried to search his memory and couldn't find a Michael in there at all. I don't remember you. As Mitch
looked down at himself he saw his legs thickening. The top 3 buttons on his uniform were unbuttoned and he saw
his chest hair become grey before his eyes. His hands look like they had seen better days but there were some
significant scars as if they had seen a life time of over use. They looked like little sausages at the ends of
a big paw. His tummy began to poke out from the bottom of the shirt. And he felt up around his head and
noticed the nice crew cut hair that felt right.
Mitch remembered a hard life of baseball and several injuries. But there was a patch of his life that was
vague. It seemed as though the amulet was trying to fill in the spaces but it was more like a bit of brain
damage.
Michael seemed to understand this as a part of his lovers life. A brain injury from a fast ball to the head
explained the memory loss but as Michael talked things began to come back. He remembered his life but had
forgotten all about the amulet. He was an old former baseball player being taken care of by such a hansom
young man.
