It’s Saturday night, me and Starla are getting ready for a double date with Michael and John. Let me explain
about them, my boyfriend Michael introduced his roommate John to Starla earlier in the week and at first John
was nervous but they managed to get along. We agreed a dinner and a movie.
I just finishing up getting dressed while Starla is taking a shower, I looked out the window and a beautiful
full moon illuminated the front yard, Michael calls it the lover’s moon and I was soon interrupted. “Shit! Why
does it has to be tonight!?” Starla said sounding somewhat different, more beastly then the harmonic voice I
remember Starla speaking.
I rushed to the bathroom “Starla,” I said, “are you alright?”
“Lillian! Please, don’t come in!” Starla snapped.
“Whatever the problem is, Please. Let me help.” I said.
The bathroom door opens and inside the doorway stood a werewolf, nearly towering over me. Brown fur and
standing on two digigraded paws, I immediately recognize it as Starla. She looked at me looking scared, “Oh
my.” Is the only response I made.
“Unless, your secretly a witch,” Starla growled “I simply doubt you can help me with this.”
“Oh Starla, why didn’t you tell me this?” I asked.
“Because, I was afraid that I loose you as a friend.” She replied.
I felt sorry for Starla, tonight of all nights to turn into a werewolf, so I assured her that we’re still
friends, no matter what.
“Starla, you know we can keep secrets, I’m no witch though, but friends keep secrets.” I touched Starla’s
furry arm. “Even this. I promise your secret is safe with me.”
Starla let out a toothly smile, “Thanks Lillian, can you do me one favor?”
“Sure, what is it?”
“Tell John I don’t want to go out, I don’t him to see me like this.”
“Sure, I’ll tell him.”
