I race through my deliveries, finish early, and race home to shower
and change. I have to confess, I'm not unfamiliar with magic. I know
I'm taking a risk in going over to O'Toole's, but I need his magic.
Let me explain, I used to be an annoying jock like Coach Allen. Hell,
I was a bigger stud than this Coach Allen. That hairy guy should be
grateful to O'Toole. Two years had passed and he still has the stud
body of a 25 year old. He probably still will in twenty five
years, if he remains a jockstrap. After all his body is only aging 1
hour per month or 12 hours per year. Imagine going to his high school
reunion and seeing all the other guys balding and paunchy and he looks
like this - well for an hour at least.
I won't tell you who I used to be- but the guy with my former body has
an eight figure contract with a major league team. Like I said I was a
stud, but I wanted to be a major league athlete, so I made this deal.
You heard the Peter Parker line with "Great Power comes great
responsibility," well, the deal I made for fame and fortune came with
a price too. I managed to get out of it, by swapping bodies I think.
That's where this O'Toole guy comes in. I need to make sure that the
guy who's got my body pays the price and not me in his old body. I
figured I could whip his bod into shape and regain a semblance of my
former life. I should've transferred some of my millions to him, but
hindsight is 20-20. Anyway, I'm concerned that the curse that went
with my old body stayed with my old body, and that the body swap I
allowed to happen didn't transfer the curse with my soul. I think
this O'Toole fellow can help. He's my only hope right now, so he's
going to be my new best friend. Hell, I'll help him turn my old
buddies into socks for him, if he can help me.
Oh, it's getting late. I finish dressing and phone the pizza joint -
one extra large BBQ chicken pizza and a box of wings and salad. I'll
pick it up on the way to O'Toole's.
