"So far so good," she muttered to herself. None of the changes were happening yet. She sat down next to Susan,
her best friend. They had known each other since preschool, and have always been friends. Right away, they began
gossiping about the latest news from school. This lasted about five minutes before Susan suddenly changed the
subject.
"So why are you sitting here again? Is there something I can help you with?" Susan asked her.
"What do you mean? I always sit here.." Jen said, fairly alarmed now.
"No, this is Elizabeth's seat," corrected Susan. "Hey, Elizabeth? What are you doing over there with the little
kids?"
At this, Jen quickly got up. Suddenly she felt really embarrassed about having sat down with Susan. Uh-oh, she
must have already started to act like Elizabeth. Her and Elizabeth switched, and Elizabeth looked equally
confused. Jen ended up next to who appeared to be Elizabeth's best friend.
"I was wondering when you'd come over. It was a little weird when a high schooler sat here," said the girl, whom
Jen suddenly recognized as her new best friend Amy.
