Jen rushed, deciding to forgo the sock, and hurry to school, hoping to avoid thoughts of Kyle, and the ridiculousness of him believing that the
town curse was real. Seems he was an even bigger idiot then she had thought. Grabbing her bag, Jen was out of the house mere moments after
getting off the phone, and was rushing to the bus. She swore softly under her breath. By now the bus should have already arrived, and left. There
was no way that...
As she turned the corner, she glanced up at her stop, to see the bus rolling to a stop. Breaking out into a full sprint, she hurried and barely
reached the bus before it pulled away. Climbing up, she barely suppressed a groan. Unlike most mornings, nearly all the seats were filled, and
the few that weren't filled had the kind of people like Kyle on them. Luckily for Jen, a second glance revealed One person who was on the
Blacklist, Jack Howard, the far right receiver. Who was holding something that looked like a fishtank, only filled with a pale tan colored liquid.
"Morning Jack." Jen said off-handily. receiving a nod in return. After a few minutes of silence, during which Jen glanced at the tank again and
again. "What is that stuff?" Jen couldn't help but ask, Kyle's words dancing at the back of her mind.
"Oh? This stuff? It's called Oobleck. It's a kind of non-newtonian fluid. It may look like weird colored water now, but" He suddenly brought a
hand up, and slapped it down on the liquid, causing Jen to jerk backwards. "When pressure is added to it, it becomes a solid." As the Oobleck
calmed, Jack continued, "Had to make a bunch of this stuff to help get my science grade up. If I hadn't, I would have been kicked off the team.
This stuff is pretty cool regardless." Just then, The bus lurched, hitting a speed bump, and a small splash of Oobleck landed on Jen.
