...suddenly she looks directly at you. You are unsure if she sees you or not so you remain hidden. She turns from her lounging position to sit cross-legged, staring directly at you. You become aware that the marshy ground your standing on is wet and mud is creeping into your shoes and soaking your socks. Where the nymph is sitting looks fairly warm and dry, yet another thing that makes you want to walk over there. You still hesitate, however, and you're not even sure why. She leans back on her hands and laughs a little.
"Very well, human, come join us." she says. Suddenly your apprehension goes away, and you feel welcome to approach her. It's as if her invitation dropped some inner barrier that had been preventing your approach. You are ready to walk forward, but something in the logic centers of your mind fires. She called you human. Does that mean she's not? If she's some otherworldly beauty then is this all too good to be true?
"Human, oh human?" she calls to you "please come over her, let me have a good look at you." Now you don't just feel welcome to approach, you feel positively drawn to, as if you really must approach.
"Well are you coming here, or are you going to stand right there forever?" she asks, sounding a touch annoyed.
