It had all begun a few decades ago when then Woodsdale
Mayor had found that the town budget didn't have enough money to
buy new fire trucks and ambulances.
After the Woods Coal Mining Corp. had gone bust in
1955 the town had fallen on hard times.
So Mayor Hank Jones had called apon the witch woman
Hecaba Bishopsgate for some unEarthly help and soon the
Devil had appeared in the Mayors office,complete with contract
and a bag that always filled with silver pieces of eight by the next
morning.
The Prince of Darkness came in pyschedelic clothing ,rose
coloured glasses and two stoned hippie groupies hanging on his
arms.
The Devil didn't want Hank Jones's soul,no he wanted to keep his client on
Earth after the contract was due for payment,in a form pleasing to the Devil
Though Hank knew it not,in all the boilerplate fine print the form was described,some
kind of cannabalistic demonic dragon-serpent.
The years flew by and the surplus pieces of 8 from the never ending bag
were melted down,deposited in the newly reopenned Woods Coal & Silver Mining Corp.
and times were good for Woodsdale.The wealth drew in the academics and science
research and Woodsdale College turned into Woodsdale University.
The Devils contract was good for a quarter century,and payment with interest was due
on July 1rst 1984.
To make a long story short,Mayor Hank Jones got the urges first,then
during the commencement ceremony he got the new scaly dragonnish form.The
cheerleaders and football jocks sprayed the new monster with jets of chilly dry ice
and left the dragon for dead on the space under the bleachers.
However some of the eggheads snuck in,retrieved this serpentine reptile and
discovered dragon Hank Jones was still barely alive,forced into suspended animation
by the freezing dry ice.
They carefully reived the monster,and after the initial cannabalistic
misunderstandings,discovered that the creature could be controlled and forced to return
to a roughly humanoid shape apon exposure to the cursed silver from the pieces of 8
that had come from the never empty Devils Bag of coins.
Alas the bag no longer supplied silver,so the university researchers had to be
careful lest they try to control the former Hank Jones cannabalistic demonic
serpent-dragon urges with ordinary silver.
Time had moved along and the researchers had discovered that when ordinary mortal
humans were injected with the cursed demon blood of the monster,under the Full Moon
they temporarily turned into dragons themselves.
However it was only temporary as long as they avoided the cursed silver that was
used to control monster former mayor Hank Jones.
Under the influence of the silver,what suppressed the demon beast in
Hank Jones brought out the demon beast in mortal humans,Full Moon or no.
So it was that Sarah had run afoul of the cursed silver of Woodsdale
and the cursed blood of the newly elected Mayor Harry Jenkins,whilst at
the mayors house,when the mayors wife Hecaba Jenkins ( BishopsGate ) had held
a bash for the Woodsdale Sorority Sisters of Dephi Artemis...
