While Carl and the real Jeff were arguing about Jeff's new identical twin, the new Jeff had turned to the computer and began typing away at the commands of the chronivac program. He took a moment to turn the emitter and scan both Jeff and Carl. He left Carl's profile alone and selected his own profile. The first thing he changed was his own duration from 1 hour to permanent, then he entered Jeff's profile. He leaves Jeff's awareness at 100% intact. He began typing away at Jeff's profile, changing different settings.
The clone of Jeff pulls down menu's on the screen selecting the inanimate transformation setting, then selects the type, Clothing with a final setting of Sock. In the duration menu of the program he selects the permanent setting. He takes one last look over his shoulder at Jeff and hits the enter key. Sitting down in the chair he turns to watch.
The emitter comes to life and does a scan of it's target, confirming it's target. Jeff's skin starts to bleach white, his skin beginning to resemble fabric and thread. The threads looking weaved. Jeff begins tasting cotton in his mouth, and mouth opening, lips becoming an elastic rim around the top of the sock he's becoming. HIs arms and legs pull together merging into his sides.
