What she did now was hop down to the docks,where a rusty old coal burning
tramp steamer lay beside the dock.
She hopped aboard and hid in a smelly sailormans water closet.
Suddenly the iron floor began to vibrate and the rhythmic thump thump thump
of the steam engine turning over shook through her.
The tramp steamer " Tanjeng Enim" was pulling away from from the grimy New York
Hudson River dock,her mixed crew of Indonesians,Malayans and Koreans cursing and
jostling as they pulled on the lines and raised a tattered canvas sail up the
foremast.
Up in the pilothouse Captain Vermeer cursed the ignorant asian oafs in a variety
of dutch and german swear words.
Jennifer the giant frog slowly crept out of the water closet and wandered aimlessly in the
maze of below decks corridors.
So it was that Captain Vermeers son,the cabin boy Dusty ermeer,was the
first to encounter the talking frog...
