John is at work talking with his friend and co-worker, Robert Sampson in the break room.
Robert: “So John, what are your vacation plans?”
John: “I was hoping to go on a cruise with my family.”
Robert: “You know you can’t afford a cruise with your current salary.”
John: “I filled out a raise request, I’ve been working hard for this company and it’s about time I get paid
more for all the work I did.”
Robert: “I hope you luck with that, let’s get back to work.”
As John and Robert went back to their cubicles an executive was waiting at John’s as soon as he approaches,
the executive said sounding like Agent Smith in the Matrix series “Mr. Anderson, about your request.” He hands
back John his raise request form and it’s been stamped ‘DENIED!’ before walking off. John looked disappointed
as Robert stopped by “Ooh, tough break John.”
John: “I can’t believe this, all the years of hard work and they turned me down.”
Robert: “I’m taking my family camping this weekend, why don’t you join us?”
John: “I don’t know, I have to ask Sharron about this.”
Robert: “Bring her, along with your kids. I know this may not be a good substitute for a cruise but it’s going
to be fun.”
John: “Sense you talked me into it, deal.”
Robert: “I’ll pick you up at 7 AM Friday. I might show you a secret that night.”
John: “Secret? What secret?”
Robert: “If I told you, it won’t be a secret,” He smiles fiendishly “And I may share it with your family.”
Robert went back to his cubicle, and John went back to work.
Friday came and the Andersons got up early with their camping gear by the door.
Sharron: “It’s nice for your co-worker Robert to invite us for a camping trip, but what is the secret he
talked about?”
John: “I don’t know, he said he’ll show us tonight and he said he might share it.”
Derrick: “I hope its werewolves, that’ll be cool.”
Julie: “What’s so cool about werewolves?”
Sharron: “Derrick, somehow, I don’t think Robert’s family is a pack of werewolves. Whatever it is, I’m sure
it’s harmless.”
The doorbell rings, as John opens the door. Robert along with his family comes in.
Robert: “Hello, before we go. Let me introduce to you my family.” She points to a woman with brown hair “This
is Terri.”
Terri: “Delighted to meet you.”
Robert: “This is my children, Nate and Kathy.”
Nate: “Hi.”
Kathy: “Hello.”
Robert and John picks up the camping gear and puts it in Robert’s SUV along with their gear, they are soon on
their way.
Sharron: “So, where’s the campsite?”
Robert: “It’s called Wolf creek. I hope you bought something to keep you preoccupied, this is a long drive.”
After a long drive, they made it to the campsite both the Andersons and the Sampsons got their tents up in
record time. Nate and Derrick gathered firewood while John and Robert fish. Both Robert and John got plenty of
trout about 16 of them, now it’s nearly nightfall after both families ate.
John: “That was quite a day, but that fish was good.”
Robert: “It’s nearly nightfall, It’s almost time to show you our secret.”
Derrick: “Oh boy, what is it?”
John: “Easy son, he’ll show is in a few minutes.”
It’s nightfall and a full moon is shown over the campsite.
Robert: “Here’s our secret, we’re….”
