Dan opened the door to find an overweight and disinterested UPS man.
"Are you Daniel Jenkins?" The man queried, chewing on a toothpick.
The tall bespectacled teen nodded. "Yes. Package, I presume?"
The UPS man produced a signature pad from his expansive belt as well as a stylus. "Sign here."
Dan cursively signed his name and then took a brown paper wrapped box from the delivery man. "Any idea what it is?"
Already turning to leave, the UPS guy shrugged. "Says computer parts."
Shutting the door behind him, Dan shrugged too. He certainly hadn't bought any of his usual toys lately, nor did he know anybody who would randomly send him any. His grandma certainly wasn't that tech savvy. He examined the shipping label on the box and suddenly his eyes widened.
"Whoa!" He looked around the house in shock, as if somebody might see him despite the fact he was alone. "It's... it's from TransDem!" He whispered. He quickly tore into the wrapping and revealed an unmarked black box. His stomach dropped as he opened the lid and found a note inside. He eyes darted quickly as he read it. As he finished the note his jaw dropped and he realized his entire life had just been changed in a heartbeat. It would be the first of many.
