Looking over their scheduled, Luke noticed that Math was their first subject, with the normal break afterwards. "Hmm, well it doesn't look like we have anything right after math, that seems a bit odd considering..."
They were now walking down the hallway passing students, and only a few actually payed them any attention, and even fewer gave them a strange look. Mark wasn't to sure how they were suppose to act, or rather, how the 'normal' Luke and Mark would act, but he looked at Luke quickly anyway. "It makes sense. We were already in the same class, remember."
"Ya, I guess." Luke shrugged his shoulder and continued to walk them to his locker to get his book. However, Mark tried to go the other way to his own locker, once they had gotten to where two halls met. This caused them to jerk both ways, then almost bang heads. Some of the students giggled while others stared at them with grins. Luke and Mark could feel their faces turn red. Mark was embarrassed, but he could feel that Luke was a bit angry. He pushed Luke down the hall, taking control of their legs, "Come on."
The trouble didn't seem to end once they stood in-front of Luke's locker. He tried his combo three times, but the lock wouldn't open. Mark asked Luke if he had the wrong locker, but Luke responded by shoving him, and telling him where to go. Mark was about to say something back, but another student had walked up beside them. "What are you doing?"
"Trying to open this, why?!" Luke glared at the kid, who looked like he was just a year older than Zack.
He gulped and looked up at Mark and Luke wide eyed, "B-b-but... this is mine..."
Mark quickly pulled them aside before anything else could be said and whispered to Luke, "Dude... things are different now, remember? I mean. Maybe OUR locker is somewhere else?"
"Ya, and how the hell are we suppose to know where it is!" Luke yelled in a hushed voice. They stood in silence, unmoving. Luke sighed and turned back to the kid, and put on a smile, "Oh, sorry, I must be having a brain fart or something. This was ours last year. Sorry about that!" He and Mark then turned and walked away. "This sucks."
"Ya." Mark sighed and let his head hang down. "How are we suppose to knowing anything here, it's all different to us." They were walking up and down the halls, when Mark go the idea to ask the office. They were halfway there when someone came up to them.
"Hey Mark. Hi Luke." It was one of Mark's friends, Allan. He had been smiling at first, but then looked really concerned, "What happened to you guys? Did you get in a fight with someone?"
Mark had forgotten about their bruises. Luke kind of chuckled a bit, "Ya... each other."
Allan's eyes went wide and his mouth opened a bit, "What? Really? Why?"
"It doesn't matter, we're passed it." Mark smiled and patted Luke on his shoulder. Luke smiled too and shrugged, "Ya, now we just need to remember where our locker is."
Allan was surprised and laughed, but lead the way and even helped them with their combination. The bell rang, and he took off, telling them he'd see them at lunch. Luke and Mark quickly grabbed their books and through them in the backpack they were wearing, and took off to math.
