Scene 1, Take 1 and Action!

No! Even though this was just a dream of yours, you knew you had to fight on and regain your humanity. You knew you wanted to once again hug your family and hang out with your friends. With your mind set on your goal, your stomach promptly rumbles. You feel hungry and need to eat breakfast. On this occasion, you knew it wouldn't be as simple as opening a cupboard and pouring out a bowl of cereal or making yourself a cup of tea. You'd need to hunt for your breakfast and future meals for the foreseeable future. You begrudgingly pull yourself to your feet and make your way to the waterside which leads out to the cave entrance. Dropping down to your hands and knees, you crawl to the waters edge and slowly peek over the edge of the rocks seeing your reflection in the water.

The creature once again looks back at you from the dark ripples of the water looking very sorrowful. For a moment, you stop there and see if you could at least express any form of emotion through your face. Plucking up the courage to look upon your less than human face for more than a minute, you try to pull a basic smile. Unfortunately, the shape of your mouth prevents you from even making anything remotely similar to a smile. You try your hand at speaking coherent sentences and found that you're able to, although your words were somewhat slurred and you had trouble stringing together a basic sentence. Hearing your own monstrous sounding voice feels somewhat more disconcerting now. More so knowing it was your own voice.

You don't have time to pity yourself at this stage. You dive into the water and make your way back through the cave. The previous day, you remembered the reeds which concealed you. You figured at the time that it would make a good hiding spot. Swimming out of the cave entrance, you once again feel the pleasant warm water flowing over your gills. A familiar feeling of contentedness goes through you which you find relaxing. You start feeling as though you could get used to being much closer to nature living in your own element. You find the reeds and rest on your stomach waiting for some fish to go by.

Whilst waiting for some fish to pass by you, you hold out your webbed hands in front of you. You've only now just noticed the solid green scute like plates on the tops of your fingers and hands. You knew seeing your hands like this was going to take some time to get used to. You decide to experiment for a while to test the limits of your hands. You try clenching your hands into fists. Initially, you thought the webbing would restrict the movement of your fingers but you found it to be surprisingly versatile. You feel the claws of your fingers digging into the palms of your hands. You try your hand at seeing how much you'd have to move your hands through the water to get yourself moving. You move your arms around yourself in different ways and was amazed at how little effort you had to put in to get yourself moving. You found you could change your direction quite easily with careful co-ordination of your body movements.

You notice a large fish of some kind and conceal yourself under the reeds again. It passes by in front of you and you lash out at it impaling it on your claws. Unlike last time, you don't hesitate in eating this one and soon strip it down to its bones. You catch another three fish over the course of 1/2 an hour and were surprised at how adept you were at catching fish at arms reach with your own hands.

Satisfying your hunger, you lay there in the reeds lost in thought wondering how or where you could go to try and reverse the transformation to get back to a state of normality. Suddenly you hear the sound of a boat engine. "Humans?" you think to yourself. "Oh god, maybe I might just have a chance to end this nightmare!". You follow the sound of the engine and through the murkiness of the water, you see the underside of the boat. You hear the muffled sounds of a group of people talking nearby on the side of the river. Slowly surfacing, keeping your eyes just above the waterline, you see a small makeshift campsite, a rowing boat and several people who appeared to be on an expedition of some kind.

Looking upon the riverside, you see a pair of stunning womans legs. You immediately glance up and feel butterflies in your stomach as you see a beautiful looking woman seemingly alone. You need someone to share some company with, someone who maybe, just maybe will actually listen to you and may be able to help you reverse this curse of yours. You cant help thinking that you could end up losing your human mind if you live alone in the wild for the rest of your life. Swimming under the rowing boat, you quietly position yourself by the riverside. Thinking about the best way you could go about doing this, you knew that you couldn't exactly just casually stroll up to the camp and introduce yourself. One the other hand you could just pull her into the river and take her back to your lair.
