You enter the dream and feel reality shift around you. You look down at yourself
and find you are unchanged, but naked. You then realize you are in your school
gym, running laps. In front of you is your best friend, Dan, but there is a full
class the true dreamer could be any of them. After running, you all head to the
locker rooms.
"I hate Mondays," your friend says to you. "I don't know how coach got the
board to approve naked gym classes."
You feel your friend might be the dreamer, but you aren't quite sure. But your
doubts are soon erased when you both walk towards the showers. The locker
room is suddenly empty but for the two of you. You take a shower next to Dan
and turn on the water. Before you can do anything, Dan is there, lathering you
up. He takes a bottle of soap and squirts it on your ass. You know what's
coming, you don't want it, but you feel that if you disturb the natural dream,
you'll never find the nightmare, so you let the dream control you.
You bend over, and his sticks his dick between your butt cheeks. It's a lot
bigger than what you saw in the showers in real life, so you figured he dreamed
up a bigger dick. You just hoped he dreamed up painless entry too. Or not. You
gasp and yell out as he thrusts his massive organ into you. He keeps going
hard and fast. But suddenly, you look up and see the quarterback of the school
football team with a camera laughing and pointing you out to everyone who was
suddenly back in the locker room. Then he began to walk away. Your friend
was paralyzed with embarassment and fear. This was the nightmare! You had
to catch that bully!
You remove yourself from Dan and follow the quarterback. He goes back out
into the gym. You follow and find your clothes returned. He heads for the gym's
outside doors, but you lunge and tackle him. He turns over and sees you, his
face changes from cocky to furious. He pushes you off so hard you fly back a
good twenty yards.
When you get up, you find, not the quarterback, but a giant creature. It looks
somewhat bug-like with a hard, shiny black shell and pincers for teeth. But it
has a human face, though no one you had ever seen before, and very very
ugly.
It thrusts its head at you, attempting to cut you in half with its jaws. You leap
back just in time and start running towards the equipment room. You hoped to
find something for a weapon, a javelin worked nicely. You turned jus in time to
find the creature bearing down on you. You held the javelin up as it fell and
impaled it through the head. It disappeared.
"Damn it! How am I supposed to follow it now?"
But where it had disappeared, a black orb formed and began floating towards
the outside doors again. You tried to stop it, but nothing phased it. You just
walked behind it.
Out the doors and back to the dream world. The sky was still red and it was
hard to keep track of the dark orb against the other silhouettes. But you
managed to follow it to a graveyard.
"How can a dream die?" you ask aloud.
"Only nightmares," Alp's voice responds. "If a nightmare survives a dream, it
attacks again and again until the fear is confronted. It's supposed to be a way to
teach people courage, but these corrupted nightmares can only be stopped by
an outside force."
He walks up beside you and kneels at the grave. It is a gray slate stone with
deeply encarved runes on it. He points at a line.
"This is why I needed you to track the dream. Each stone lists the nightmare's
creator. Most of them are me. Some are created by the people themselves. But
this name belongs to neither me nor your friend. It reads 'Jack DiMicco'. Do you
know him?"
"Know him? That's my uncle! Or, was, before he and my aunt divorced. He had
these crazy plans of world domination, we thought he was going crazy.
Obviously, they weren't totally fake."
"No, they are all too real. We have to stop him. But to do that, we will have to
invade one of his dreams."
