As Ty came to grips with his newfound power he realized that his regression of Dustin had been done improperly. He had altered Dustin's history, not his body per say, which had resulted in Dustin and only Dustin being aware of it. An instinct of sorts told him that he'd have to be careful with altering history past and future. He had no such misgivings about the present.
"I should change things back to the way they were." Ty admitted to himself. "That way, Dustin won't know about me. And I'll be able to keep this secret..." With a short moment of concentration, Ty imagined Dustin's life back to the way it was.
In the shower, the confused and tiny Dustin felt that tingle again, and looked over himself in alarm for a moment before his awareness began to fade. He suddenly begun to spurt upward, his size and former athletic body returning to him as he grew back. Downstairs, the "late start" conversation had never happened. Mark and June sat across from each other at the breakfast table ignoring each other as usual.
When it was completed, Ty felt a pleasing sense of rightness with his actions, as if everything was in balance again. "There!" He breathed a sigh of relief. "So changing past events is dangerous. So is changing the future. I..." He looked around and grinned. "I feel that..."
The young God stood up from the end of his bed and peered out the window to the weed-infested yard below. He imagined the yard turned into a bright green suburban cliche. Perfectly manicured and cut. Free of anything that Mark and June would find out of sorts. In the blink of an eye the grass shrank down, the weeds seemed to turn to nothing, and what would have been a full Saturday's work was done in an instant.
"Wow!" Ty gasped, grinning like a fool. "That's amazing!" In his excitement Ty almost didn't notice the heavy footsteps of Mark stomping upstairs, and when his foster father threw open the door to berate Ty for his lazy ways, he found an empty room. Puzzled, Mark went back downstairs and turned to June. "Where the hell is Ty?"
"Outside, I think." June flipped a page in the paper and took a drag on her smoke.
"Ha! Probably goofing off again instead of doing what he was told to do." Mark snorted, and proceeded to stare out the window to the back yard. His jaw dropped. "Holy hell! Woman, come here and see this!"

Ty felt like a new person. After the shocked reaction to his "cleaning" Mark had happily given Ty a crisp $20.00 bill and told him to enjoy his day after such a job well done. Now Ty was far away from home and heading to the mall to spend his cash. On the way there he looked at the money in his hand and willed it into a $100.00 bill. He laughed and then gave himself 9 more for an even grand. So, with a thousand dollars in his pocket, Ty carried on.
