“It’s tempting, but, right now, I think I just need a friend.” Naomi said.
“You want to return to Human size, then?” Yukiko asked.
“Yes, please.”
Yukiko waved her wand into the air and created a shower of sparkles that cascaded over both her and Naomi. Slowly, the two girls began to grow. Naomi’s fairy features slowly vanished; her wings and antennae slowly receding into her body and her long, pointed ears shrinking and rounding out. Her tiny green dress became a green tube top shirt and blue short shorts.
Naomi looked over the human Yukiko. “You look pretty.” She said.
“Thanks!”
Naomi spent the rest of the day with Yukiko. They went to the mall; Yukiko had dinner with Naomi’s parents, and they saw a movie together. They had a fun time together; and now it was after dark and they were sitting on Naomi’s bed.
“This has been a wonderful day, Yukiko.” Naomi said.
“Yes, it was fun.” Yukiko answered. Naomi was silently staring out the window at the full moon. “Naomi?”
“Hmm?” Yukiko caught Naomi’s attention. “Oh, I was just thinking.”
“About what?”
