Jake could only think of food and his driving instinct for getting to his new Mama's teats. Being now bull calf in form his nature was changing to be one of domination.
A couple of solid head butts and the little cow bowed away to give the young bull his tasty way. The Mama' cow watched and seemed proud of her bull calf's accomplishments. Although her udder was full enough for two calves she was happiest when Jake came to suck.
Lindy watched for some time till Jake happened to wander near the corral's edge where she stood. "Jake can you understand me?" she called out.
The bull calf walked up to the interesting scented form and stood, his muzzel pressed into Lindy's thigh. A scrubbing of his head brought forth a calf's normal Moooing bellar. Yet try as Lindy might the intellect of Jake had degraded as he shrank to calf size.
"Your just a normal calf now Jake, I have no idea how you changed or how to change you back!" A tear rolled down her face at the thought of her best friend being made a animal. After sitting a minute or two she got up and went back to look over the rain slicker, maybe there was some reason for all this?
The slicker lay in a heap near the barn door. As Lindy picked it up the Medallion rolled from one of the side pockets. A girl like any other could not resist such a bright bobble. Picking up the metal item it's weight was very heavy considering it's size.
Lindy looked the slicker raincoat over and over while holding the Medallion in her hands. As the Medallion slipped from her fingers, hit the barn floor and began to roll, Lindy dropped the slicker and jumped for to catch her prize.
As if a mind of it's own the Medallion rolled ever qquicker across the bumpy barn's wooden floor. Lindy scrambled after the bobble as it rolled into her Daddy's tack room.
The room was dank and dark smelling of sweated animal harness and dust. One window was the only light and although the bobble was shiny bright it was quickly hidden in the room.
Lindy knelt by the room's door as Jake bellared out either a greeting or warning from his corral.
