Craig read the tag aloud. "Grant Callander, football team." Craig was very confused. Who the hell was this Grant Callander, and why did
he leave his uniform for Craig? More importantly, where was Craig's uniform. After another quick search, Craig still couldn't find his
uniform.
Craig was afraid that it was some sort of prank. Being the new kid at school in Grade 11 was tough, everyone already knew eachother.
To Craig, everyone was a total stranger. He was easy prey for pranks, like the one that he assumed was currently happening to him.
He cursed Grant, even though he didn't know who he was. Probably some douchebag football captain or someone like that.
Craig looked at the clothing supposedly left by Grant. It looked like any other school uniform, with black trousers, a white shirt, a red
sweatshirt, and black footwear, all with the schools logo on it. The difference compared to Craig's uniform was that they were very large.
Craig examined the shoes, pulling out the tongue to see the size. They were size 14. Far too big for Craig's size 9.
"Well, it looks like I don't have much of a choice here." said Craig to himself. He started to put on the clothes. First the white shirt, which
was far too large on him, followed by the trousers. Craig put on the included belt on the farthest hole. Then came the sweatshirt,
followed by the 5 sizes too large shoes.
Craig looked at himself in the mirror. "Well, it doesn't look terrible..." he muttered to himself. He was lying, and he knew it. Craig looked
like a kid in his father's clothes, with them draping off of him because he was significantly smaller than the intended wearer. Craig
sighed, he didn't want to leave the shower room and face his peers. He was afraid they'd mock him and he'd make a bad first
impression.
Against his wishes, Craig left the shower room. He proceeded to the cafeteria, as it was lunch. He felt very awkward walking through
the halls in the uniform. It felt gigantic on him, and he felt that he looked silly. The really weird thing was that nobody seemed to notice.
There were no stares, no giggles, and no exclaimations of "look at that loser!".
Craig had brought money for lunch that day, he got in the cafeteria service line-up. It was fairly long, as the school had a large
population. He entered the back of the line, and was shortly greeted by his lab partner in chemistry. Craig had chemistry for homeroom.
On the first day of his arrival, he was partnered up with Jake Hutchinson for labs. They'd previously sat together but never had really
spoken. Jake was a football player, a wide reciever on the school's team. He wasn't incerdibly bright, but he managed to do fairly well in
school.
Jake walked up to Craig, "Hey bro, how's it going?"
"Hello Jake. Things are alright, I guess. My uniform got stolen in PE class today."
"Really, I never would've noticed." said Jake, very seriously.
Craig found Jake's response incredibly bizarre. He thought it was completely obvious that he had been wearing a uniform that was not
his. He decided not to bother calling too much attention to it though, the last thing he wanted was to freak Jake out by being rude or
awkward.
"Hey Jake, do you know anyone named Grant Callander?" Craig asked, as the line moved forward.
"No, never heard of him." replied Jake. "Sorry."
"It's no big deal," said Craig, but he certainly didn't think that. He was hoping someone would know this guy,
Craig and Jake didn't talk too much throughout the rest of the line-up. When Craig moved to the front of the line, he ordered a pizza
slice and milk. After recieving his meal, Jake asked him to wait. Craig agreed to do so, to avoid an awkward situation. Jake ordered his
meal, and then said to Craig, "Let's sit down somewhere, I see a few empty tables around."
"Umm... OK." replied Craig, hoping that Jake wasn't in on the prank he thought was being pulled on him.
