"Well," said Chris to his sometime lover, "are you going to move or just stare at the pretty, blinking lights?"
"I'm thinking about it ... I'm thinking about it..." Dave sighed as he considered his options. While he didn't think it was likely he'd be changed into a lion like Sid, practically anything could be on the next card. His mind boggled at the sorts of changes this game might have in store for its players. He shook his head. "Sorry, Sid; I just can't take the risk. I'm goin' the long way 'round..."
Taking the piece in his finger tips, Dave moved the remaining spaces to the green square.
"Ok," he said looking to his left. "Your turn, Chris..."
"Wait; look!"
Everyone stared at the board. Like a wave washing over a beach, all of the green squares on the board shimmered. Small, white letters appeared on each space, scrolling as if windows in a slot machine.
"What ... what do they say?" asked Chris, staring, confused, at all the flickering green squares.
The words started to slow and the four friends could soon read them. "MENTAL", "SOCIAL", "PHYSICAL", "MYSTIC" and "RANDOM" were the apparent choices. Dave felt his heart fall and suppressed a shudder.
"Oh, no..."
"Shit; this is worse than the cards!" muttered Tyler with an exasperated look on his face.
Soon, each green square slowed, slowed and came to a stop. Each one now had the small word "MYSTIC" on it. The remaining blue, red, yellow, pink and black squares still had no writing.
"Mystic?" asked Dave, incredulously. "What's that supposed to mean?"
Before the others could answer, however, the small, clear space in the center of the board wavered as if suddenly covered with mist. However, the blackness there slowly expanded, pushing the white wisps into solid shapes of letters and words. Before the surprised eyes of the players, a rhyme formed in the center of the board.
TEMPORARY CHANGE"What th' fuck does that mean?" demanded Dave of no one in particular. "I mean, my True Name? What's that mean? My name's 'Dave'!"

So shall you be lest an answer, you know.
More valued than power or riches or fame,
On penalty of curse, shout your True Name."
