My Roommate Is a Clone!

added 11 years ago O

You looked down at the paper again. Even though you had scoped out your buildig, floor, and room a dozen times before, it was your
first year of college; you were nervous.

AIDEN SCOTCH
DUDLEY HALL — FLOOR 8 — ROOM 828
ROOMMATE: LOGAN ANGELO
ROOM TYPE: DOUBLE

"Well, I know the room and building are nice, let's just hope my roommate is, too."

You carried your stuff over to the door and used the card key to unlock it. Apparently, your roommate was already here; there were
bags on the floor and the bathroom door was closed. You went ahead and sat down on one of the beds. Not long after, the bathroom
door opened and you were greeted with a sight that left you dumbfounded...yourself.

Logan was like a perfect copy of you. He had the same face, hair color and style, body type, height, eyes, everything. He dressed like
you, he made the same expression as you when he saw you, and when he spoke he sounded like you.

"You...you...you're..."

"...Just like me," you finish. "Quick, what's your birthday?"

"April 1st, 2092."

"Okay," you breathe a sigh of relief, "I was born on July 4, 2091. We're not long lost twins, just eerily similar people."

"Although, that is nine months apart," Logan said, "So I was conceived about the same time you were born."

"Ack! Don't make this any creepier than it is!"

You spent the next few hours quizzing each other on your families, hobbies, and interests. It appeared the only thing you didn't share
was a birthday.

"Alright, this is just about the weirdest thing ever," Logan said finally. "I have one more question. It's very intimate, but it may be the only
thing else we don't have in common: what are your sexual preferences?"

"Well, that's kind of a lose-lose question, because I'm bisexual," you answer.

"Get the hell out of here!" he says, pounding his fist in his hand, just like you do. "You're telling me the only thing different about us is
our names and birthdays?"

"It would appear so," you agree, standing up. "I guess it's official, you'll have to ask your parents why they cloned me."

"What makes you think I'm the clone?" he asks indignantly.

"Because you're younger."

"Oh, right..."

"Dude, I'm kidding. Cloning is illegal, and from what you've told me, your parents are just like mine: follow the rules to the letter."

"It's still extremely scary."

"What's scary, that you found someone who shares all of your interests and abilities? That sounds more like the perfect match on a
dating site than a nightmare. We should be happy, at least we have roommates that aren't our polar opposites."

"True, I could have gotten some geek."

"Or a wanna-be-gangsta."

"Or an actual gangster."

The two of you start laughing for no real reason. You really like Logan, it's like hanging out with yourself, only better! While you shared
basic interests, you had, in fact, had separate lives. He knew things you didn't and vice versa. You went to dinner at one of the college's
cafeterias and got different things. You weren't mirror images, unless it was a funhouse mirror, but you were close enough to get along.
