Will didn’t have a good time of it. To her credit, Sam made up a very good cover story, but she was still quite drunk. Will’s mom had apparently been worried sick when she found Will missing from her room, and had even called the police. Seeing Will arrive back home naked hadn’t made her feel that much better. Will also wasn’t faring much better, as she was still slightly stunned by this ‘new’ attitude her mom had adopted. She had always hated being treated like a child, male or female, but now that she actually was one, she was fighting ever urge and instinct to not just break down and cry.
She’d been sent to her bed room, which itself had undergone another change. Now more pink and girly, with the boy band posters far fewer in number and more Hannah Montana and Disney movies on the shelf, with associated memorabilia scattered about. Will still had the rational thought she had possessed this morning before any of this had even happened, so she could only guess that, in parallel to her upbringing as a guy, that her mom had more of a hand in choosing her lifestyle at this point than she did.
Once Will had found skateboarding she’d left all her G.I. Joe behind and abandoned the thoughts on what a good boy was supposed to be, or at least what her mom had thought. She could see that this was not yet the case. She found her pajamas under her pillow, where they always were, and was not surprised to see they matched the room and its contents. She was beyond caring at this point. It was bad enough she was still a girl but she was not going to let this sudden age gap get her down.
Sam had said she’d meet her tomorrow evening when she was scheduled to babysit again. This was more of a convenient coincidence than well thought of planning but it was all Will had at this point. Until then she was going to have to survive the day, and school.
Will gulped to herself as she looked her naked body over in the mirror. Gone were any thoughts of indecency or arousal, she was now too young for that. She still knew of it, her mind was still the same, but the body was too young to understand or co-operate with that sort of thing, so in one sense, she guessed she was lucky. Instead, her mind was filled with the dread of what school tomorrow would bring.
Elementary school seemed a distant memory to her, and now she was going back to basic mathematics and simple reading. She had no idea who her friends were, who her teachers were, or anything. She noticed what could only be her school bag lying by the foot of the bed so she began to flick through its contents in hopes of gleaning some insight or anything she could use.
Most of it was very simple, so clearly Will would have no issue being top of the class. She also found her timetable and her teacher’s names. That was more critical. She studied for a while, preparing herself for what was to come, but the days antics finally overwhelmed her and, with a yawn, she pulled on the pajamas, not even noticing the odd fitting over her new body, and went to sleep.
