"Oh no. Does this mean I'll be out of here soon?" Dan asked from the womb.
"Yeah, I guess so. I'll try to find out how soon in a minute, just let me do something about my clothes first -
they don't really fit any more."
Kat quickly found a spell to make her clothes magically fit her changing body. When she cast it, her pants
turned into maternity pants, her t-shirt became slightly larger and her bra grew by a cup size. She
immediately felt relief. "Whoa. Finally some of my magic actually works as intended!"
Kat got up and took a look at herself in the mirror. She didn't see much of a difference, the bump was
virtually invisible under her clothes. Even when she pulled up her shirt, it was hard to see. Nobody who
saw her would have noticed she was pregnant - but that was going to change very soon. Kat went to her
computer and google some facts about pregnancy.
Soon she told Dan "I look about 12 or 13 weeks pregnant. I 'conceived' about 5 hours ago. A pregnancy
lasts 40 weeks, so you should be ready to pop out in like... 15 or 16 hours. That's nice, I thought we had
even less time."
"Just 15 hours? But I want to stay in here, you're so warm and soft inside!" Dan's voice sounded whiny.
"Then I guess you should cheer up and enjoy your stay for as long as you can. By the way, do you hear
anything annoying?" Kat asked
"No, I don't hear anything at all. Why?"
"Good, that confirms my guess. We're like 3 months along and you don't have any ears yet. Otherwise
you'd have noticed me singing that song you hate at the top of my lungs."
"But you're talking to me at the moment! How can you do that while you're singing and I'm deaf?"
"Magic! Am I a witch or what? Looks like we're communicating telepathically, directly from mind to mind."
"Does that mean we can read each other's thoughts now?"
"I don't think so, but let's try. Think about something!"
"Ok..."
A minute later, Kat asked Dan "What were you thinking about?"
"I thought about how I'm totally going to suck your boobs all the time soon. Perhaps this short pregnancy
thing isn't that bad..."
Kat hadn't expected that. Shocked, she yelled in her mind "Hey! Perhaps it's not too late for an abortion!"
"I know you didn't mean that. I can totally read your thoughts!" Dan said with a telepathic laughter.
"Nope, that just shows you have a concept of sarcasm. Remarkable for an embryo, but no reading
thoughts. I definitely can't read yours and I'm glad you little perv." Kat was genuinely pissed off by her
brother/son's attitude. Then she noticed the spellbook. Next to the spell she had used for her clothes there
was another, titled "Determine the sex of an unborn." Dan needed a lesson. She cast the "girl" version.
Kat waited for anything to change, but felt nothing. She hoped the spell had worked anyway. Dan was quiet
and didn't move. Kat was afraid shemight have hurt or even aborted him with another spell gone wrong.
To her great relief Dan finally said something. "I'm sorry, mommy. Will the birth and everything after happen
faster too?", he asked
"I don't know. Good question, but there's no answer in the spellbook and we can't ask mom now, can we?"
"Guess not... speaking of mom, what will we do if she and dad come home?"
"Oh fuck... we can't stay here!"
Kat jumped up and began to run around putting important things in her backpack. Dan felt her moving a lot
and asked "But where are we going?"
