The CYOC had stripped and destroyed Timothy Wellington, investment banker, and turned him into dumbed down
menial worker.
But there was one part of his old life that the CYOC still had to destroy: his son.
The door of the barbershop opened and a well-dressed, handsome young man walked in. "My name is Chip
Wellington. I'm looking for my father...I got the idea he might be here...I don't know why..." said the young
gentleman.
The barber and the pet shop owner and the health food store owner all looked at each other and smiled.
They looked over the tall, lean preppy man in his early twenties: navy blue sports jacket, pressed khakis,
button down white shirt, gleaming mahogany colored tasseled loafers and a full head of thick, blonde hair in a
conservative business cut.
Jimbo said: "Look around the shop boy - do you recognize some things?"
Chip looked around and couldn't believe his eyes.
"Those look like my father's shoes and socks! And you have his SUIT! I recognize his cufflinks and briefcase!
What is going on? Why are my father's clothes in a barber shop?" said Chip, outraged and stunned.
Jimbo grinned: "You see, boy. It's like this - your Daddy came in here all dressed up in his fine clothes and
he had to get undressed in a hurry. So he took off everything - and I mean EVERYTHING, down to his skivvies."
"BUT WHY?" cried Chip. "Where is he now?"
Billy pointed to the barefoot, bald menial worker in coveralls: "There's your bigshot Daddy!"
Chip stared hard at the man. "THAT IS NOT MY FATHER!" But the power of the CYOC was dragging Chip into its
transforming power. He suddenly recognized his father inside the transformed man in front of him.
"DAD!" he screamed.
Timmy Boy, the former brilliant, dignified investment banker, stared at his son with a cheerful smile.
"It's me!" said Timmy Boy. He had now been completely brainwashed by the CYOC. "I deserve to be stripped of my
former life and identity. Now it is YOUR turn!"
"WHAT!?" cried Chip. "I have an MBA! I am about to start my corporate job! I don't want a NEW LIFE!"
