Carrie went back to the apartment where she heard John packing up their things. She decided to surprise him by trying to change her voice to how it was before.
"Oh John, are you packing?" Carrie asked.
"Yeah, we're just about ready to leave, where'd you go? To get a souvenir?" John asked.
"Well, you could say that." Carrie said before finally opening the door.
John stood there in shock at his wife in her new form.
"Carrie, you became a toon?"
"I sure did."
"Is it temporary?"
"Nope, I chose to stay like this forever."
"Oh Carrie, no, no, you shouldn't have done that." John argued.
"Why not? I thought you'd be happy with my decision."
"Well I'm not, I can't take you back to the real world with me."
"So that's it then? We're through?" Carrie asked.
John just nodded his head. Carrie approached him and John thought she was going to give him a kiss goodbye, but instead she slapped him across the face.
"Get out of here now then, and I never want to see you here again."
So John left leaving Carrie all alone yet a part of her felt somehow good for what she'd just done.
