"Jamie is such a ditz," said Cassie shaking her head. She was one of the mean girls, and she was talking to
her cadre of mean girls: Char, Vik, Mishy and Liz. She continued as she adjusted the monitor, "Still, I bet
she'll taste delicious!" The five mean girls cackled.
They manipulated the marzipan voodoo doll with a strand of Jamie's hair in it. Cassie pulled the hair out of
the marzipan.
Jamie moaned.
"Why did you do that, Cassandra? She is only half baked!" exclaimed Victoria.
"Vik, I swear sometimes you are so dense!" Cassie exclaimed in an exasperated tone, "We have Jamie where we
want her to be, do you really want her to be oblivious as to what is happening to her?"
"I thought she felt happy because she was becoming food?" Vik whined.
"Yes, precisely, but now that she is irrevocably committed to her transformation, we'll see how she really
feels without the aid of our enchantment," Cassie said.
"I doubt she'll be as happy," Vik said firmly.
"Where would be the fun in it if she did?" parsed Cassie with a wicked grin.
In the transformation booth, Jamie woke feeling bloated. She burped and a dollop of cream spurted out of her
mouth. She was lying on a cooling tray in the bakery window. Some hungry looking kids had their faces pressed
up against the glass. They looked gigantic. She struggled to move, but her body was too stiff.
Stefan walked over to the cooling rack and lifted Jamie's tray off the rack. He was huge. He was gorgeous,
but he didn't seem to know Jamie existed. He worked at the bakery in the mall. He glanced dispassionately
down at Jamie. She felt embarrassed and angry. First, embarrassed as she recalled that she was naked.
Second, she was angy because Stefan didn't seem to notice. She was sure he wasn't gay. She was seething in
her anger. Then she recalled the transformation booth. Why had she picked food? She wanted so badly to shake
her head. She was sure it would clear her head, and help her to think straight.
"Alright, Stef," the master baker ordered, "I want you to frost this cake to these specifications." He handed
an order slip to Stefan.
Stefan glanced at it, and muttered, "Guess, Cassie, is having another party. I swear with all the cakes that
girl orders I'm surprised she's so thin!"
He took the shiny silver spatula and whipped the bowl of frosting. Then he took a glob of it and began rubbing
it all over Jamie's body.
She gasped it was so cool. She felt pleased that Stefan was frosting her. Was she really a cake? Cassie was
going to eat her? She hoped Cassie would choke.
