... heard his mother call from outside the booth. "Tom." she called "I got the gift. Let's go!"
Tom knew he couldn't hide from his mom, so he came out to her. When she saw him, she barley recognized him.
"Tom," she asked in confusion "is that you?"
"Yeah," he said in a sad, but goofy voice "it's me."
"What did you do to yourself?"
Tom couldn't think of a cleaver lie, so he told her the truth.
"You expect me to believe that you're a real clown?"
"Try to rub it off if you don't believe me." She tried to rub off the orange, but couldn't.
"I'm sorry." he said, tears welling up in his eyes "I guess you really CAN'T leave me alone!"
With that, he gushed out tears like a sprinkler.
"No," she said "I'm sorry - I shouldn't have left you alone." she hugged him, and kissed him on the cheek.
"Let's go home, Tom." and she took him gently by the hand.
As they walked back to the car, her skin turned a ruddy orange, her nose become a red ball the size of a cherry, white appeared around her
eyes and mouth, red blush appeared on her cheeks with 3 red freckles inside each one. Her eyebrows became arched black lines, and her hair
became long and frizzy with a puffy blue bow on top. Her feet became twice as big, and were now in red clown shoes with yellow saddles and
orange laces. Her eyelashes grew to 2 inches, and became thicker. Her breasts became the size of melons, and her hips widened to match. She
now wore a yellow dress with large shoulder poufs, and a ballerina skirt that exposed her white panties with red hearts. Her red striped socks
stretched up to the knee, and puffy white gloves formed over her hands.
"We're almost there, Tom." She said in a helium voice, and hearing this, she covered her mouth, and saw all her changes.
"I'm sorry mom." Tom said in goofy sad voice.
"It's okie-dokie, Tom." she said in a comforting helium voice "You didn't know this would happen. I promise, no matter what we are, I'll always
love you, my little clown." and she gave him a big, wet, clown kiss on the cheek.
Tom smiled.
When they got outside, their car was now a clown car.
"I guess that makes sense." she said "Let's get in." and they stuffed themselves into the tiny car, driving home.
