"What do you mean 'the real you'?" Brad asked, a bit perplexed "Do you act the way you do in front of me just to make me happy?"
"No," Victoria chuckled "it has nothing to do with the way I act, but rather what I am. I'm human during the day, but at night, well ..... just watch
and promise you won't run away screaming."
"I promise." he said, smiling "How bad could it be?"
Then she began to change. First, horns grew out of her forehead, and were a foot long each, then her ears became six inches long and pointed.
Her pupils became slits, and she grew sharp fangs, not enough to poke out of her mouth, but just enough to give her a cute overbite.
She took off her shoes and socks, and her legs became reverse-jointed, ending in big toes with sharp, curved, black claws, and her fingers now
ended in them too.
She unzipped a hidden zipper in the back of her pants to let her tail grow out - it was six feet long and arrow-tiped.
She took off her shirt, leaving her in a backless top, and giant bat wings grew out of her back with a span of eight feet total.
Finally, her skin turned light purple, and her hair turned dark purple.
"You're a succubus?" he asked fearfully.
"No Brad," she gently corrected him "I'm a gargoyle, and MY kind actually keeps THEM from harming yours. We are guardians and protectors -
we're the good guys."
"I've heard that before," Brad said, remembering the stories "but if you're a gargoyle, then shouldn't you be a statue by day?"
"I'm half-gargoyle." she explained "My father is a gargoyle, but my mother is human. So by day I'm a normal woman, free to walk in the
sunlight, but by night I'm a gargoyle, protecting innocent people from the forces of evil. So what do you think? Do you still love me?"
He looked at the creature before him, knowing it was the woman he fell in love with.
Then he slowly walked toward her, and placed his hands in her clawed ones.
"Of course I do, Victoria." he replied tenderly "You're the only woman who really gets me. No one understands me like you do - that's why I love
you."
"Aww, Brad." she blushed a deep purple, and smiled warmly, showing her fangs "You always know the right things to say, and that's why I love
you." And with that, she hugged Brad, and kissed him passionately on his lips.
"I'll be your lover and protector," she said lovingly "but to ensure my bloodline remains unbroken, if we decide to have kids, I must make you
half-gargoyle too. You'd only be one at night like me. Could you accept that?"
"As long as we're together, my love," he reassured her "It doesn't matter. I'd gladly fight by your side."
"I'm glad to her that." she said happily "We can always use more allies. So would you like me to transform you now, or later? It's YOUR choice,
my love."
