“…back home, actually. It is getting late, after all” was Kasey’s response. “In any case, I haven’t taken
you there yet.” That part was certainly true. Even though we’d been going out for some months, I’d yet to
even see where she lived. With that said, I took her arm into mine, and we began the trek over to where she
lived.
It was only a few minutes, however, before I realised I’d missed an important detail. With it being mid-
December, and with the sun beginning to set. The temperature was dropping, and the first few flakes of snow
were falling. Even with my clothes on, I felt the chill of the wind, so I knew for certain that Kasey would
be feeling it in spades. Sure enough, she was beginning to shiver a bit as he tightened her hold on me.
This put me in a bit of a bind, to say the least. I knew I’d need to give her back her clothes, but she would
get suspicious if I said the necessary words. On top of that, I wasn’t quite ready to let her know what I’d
done only a few minutes back. In short, I needed a way to fix it all, and I only had one idea.
‘I wish the clothes Kasey was wearing before I wished them to disappear would reappear, while I am the only
one who notices.’ The silent wish I made in my mind.
Fortunately, it worked, and within two steps, I could see a large, tan fur coat over her body that came to
below her knees, with a pair of black, high-heeled boots on, while her hands had thick, black gloves over
them. Even more fortunate, she wind died down a bit, allowing her to think that it had been the wind chill
effect that she had felt.
After a couple more minutes, Kasey announced “We’re here.“ leading me into one of the apartment complexes
that existed. Heading inside, she lead me to the lifts situated near the back, where one of them happened to
be on the same floor as ourselves. Heading into it, the number 18 was pressed, the top floor. During the
slow climb up, I did notice that Kasey had begun to fidget with her coat a bit, mainly consisting of slight
tugs here and there, and a suppressed smirk.
“Getting hot in that?” I asked her, suspecting that the heated interior was making her hot.
“Don’t worry about it. It’s coming off when we get inside.” She replied, in a rather teasing manner.
Not quite knowing what she was getting at, I decided to let it rest for the time being. In any case, the lift
had stopped, showing that we’d reached the top floor. Kasey walked out first, leading the way. She took me
over to the third and final room on the right, before taking out the keys for the front door - having taken
off her gloves, placing them in the coat pockets - unlocking it, and beckoning me in. taking her invitation
to enter first, I did so.
Entering a small hallway, which comprised of a set of coat hangers set to the recessed left side, and another
door right ahead, which I opened to reveal the interior. It revealed that the living room was right ahead,
with the kitchen a part of it, set to the front left corner. The entertainment appeared to be on the right,
with a balcony at the end, which appeared to stretch into the bedroom. I guessed the bathroom was between it
and the kitchen. One thing I noticed was that the heating wasn’t one, leaving the room rather chilly.
But what really caught my attention was that when I turned to face Kasey again, she had opened - though not
removed - her fur coat to reveal…
