"Josh, what the hell did you tell them?" you shout at Josh now that the two of you are alone.
"Nothing, I swear," Josh says. "I was gonna ask you the same thing. How the fuck did they know about us?"
"I don't know, man…" you sigh. "Well, fuck, what are we gonna do now?"
"I guess we're gonna do what they say," Josh says, sounding resigned to your fate. "What other choice do we have? Besides," he looks up at you with a wry smile. "They were right, we could have some fun. Let's give it a try."
"Yeah, first we gotta see what this whole bullshit story is all about," you say.
You send a text to the number they gave you. 'We're in'
The response comes quickly. 'Report back to the facility by 4:10 pm'
You show it to Josh. "Well, I guess that's the plan, then."
You arrive back at the facility at the given time, where you're met by a younger lackey of the goons who begins leading the two of you down the hallways.
"Now, boys," the lackey says. "I imagine you might be a bit skeptical about what we're proposing. I admit I was at first too, but I assure you this process works just as it was presented to you."
You look at Josh with a skeptical glance as the lackey stops and uses his keycard to open the door to a room. Inside you see what looks like two dentist chairs front and center with a bunch of wires connected to them and the gun-like device the boss showed you earlier behind them. There are also wires leading over to several computer terminals on the side of the room.
The lackey looks at you and smiles. "This," he says, "is where the magic happens."
"Let me explain how this works. I'll be at the computer and select the bodies that you will be transferred into. You two will sit in those chairs and be placed in said bodies. When you're ready to return, touch both of your hands directly to your nipples and you will leave the body you're in and come back here. But be aware that from my end, I can keep you in the bodies you're in, so don't bother trying to come back before the job is done. Any questions?"
"Yeah, just one," you say. "How gullible do you think we are?"
The lackey smiles again and ignores your question as he pulls out his smartphone. "I have your first assignment."
