Jennifer looked up at Jessica and then over at her dog, wondering why nobody seemed surprised that she was missing, or that there was another dog here besides Sam. A part of her realized that it might have something to do with being transformed, that there might be something more to the town curse than just the power to transform something.
Just...just the power to transform something, or someone. She could hardly believe she had thought about it like that, but there it was. If her thoughts were right, then the curse didn't just change one person, but it changed the way that everyone remembered things, and how reality worked for them...it was a frightening thought.
Before Jessica could say anything to her, though, another human joined the group. Jennifer turned to look, and if she had been human, she would have gasped in surprise. As it was, all she could do was yelp a bit.
Standing right there was Kyle, the person that had transformed her. He wrapped an arm around Jessica, and she turned to give him a kiss. “Hey, hon. You're a little bit early. Any reason?”
“No reason, just thought I'd like to spend the afternoon with you,” Kyle said with a small chuckle. He kissed her again, and then patted her rather openly on the ass. She didn't even protest, Jennifer was startled to see. All she did was grin and blush a little bit. “Why don't you head inside, Jessica? I'll be in there in a minute,” he said. The girl nodded, hurrying inside, leaving Kyle alone with Sam and Jennifer.
He kneeled down so that he was on eye level with Jennifer. “Heh, I bet you're confused, aren't you? You wanna know what happened, you dumb little bitch?”
The language coming from his mouth shocked her, but she slowly nodded her head. Much as she hated him, Kyle was the only one that could explain.
“Alright. Come on,” he said. “I don't want to make people think I'm nuts for talking to a dog.” Grabbing her by the scruff of the neck and pulling her along despite her yelps, he dragged her past the front yard and behind the house, where they were both out of sight for anyone else. When they were alone, he let go of her, shutting the gate to the fence encircling the backyard. Jennifer felt trapped, but forced herself to not show it. It was all she could do.
Kyle just smirked. “Well, while you've been busy being a bitch, I've been having a fair bit of fun with the town curse. Changing things for my own enjoyment. So many loopholes in this thing, you know, if you know how to look. And now, I've got what I've always wanted.” He smiled. “A town at my beck and call, a girlfriend who's as beautiful as she is sluttish, two good dogs...” He paused, looking between them with a chuckle. “Well, one good dog, and one that will be good. And no one is the wiser. I've got my own personal heaven.”
“And you know, it makes me think. There's something I've always wanted to try...”
