Jefferson high was a normal high school. Or at least it had been at one time. People were obsessed with sports, or their looks. Rumors
went around about who was dating who, who secretly likes who, who is doing what drug, who had sex with who's boyfriend or girlfriend,
etc. People cared more about their clothes than their actual grades. Those who did try in school were called nerds or dorks. It wasn't
much of a problem the teachers pretended to care but deep down didn't, most students didn't let stuff bother them, it sounds like a crazy
place but truth is it's no different than most schools sadly.
Then one day things took an interesting turn. It all started with Mike Harris and Samantha Jones. Everyone knew they liked each other
but they never asked each other out. Until Sam gave Mike a valentine on valentines day. It was posted outside his locker. It read simply
"We will be perfect together" and had Sam's name on it. It then said "To Mike with Love" at the end. Mike was so happy maybe now he
could talk to her. She ended up meeting Mike after school.
"You like me?" he asked.
"Yes didn't you read the note?" she said smiling. The next day they were dating. They were totally the stereotypical high school
sweethearts, having eyes only for each other, always holding hands, both unable to talk about anything except the other, that kind of
sappy stuff. It seemed perfectly normal at first, but that only lasted one week. Then Mike started to...change. He was never muscular
but not completely lanky either. He started to seem skinny and lanky, his eyes looked blue and had the puppy love look to them.
"Dude are you ok, you look a little thin" Mike's friend Jake asked.
"I'm fine" Mike said. Just then Sam walked in. "Wow isn't she beautiful?" Mike said. It seemed hopeless to try to snap Mike out of it. He
only looked at her if she was in the same room. His hair got a lighter blond and started to get curly. He just seemed to have this
"boyish" look to him now. His grades started to drop because he literally couldn't think about anything except Sam. He soon had nothing
to do with his friends anymore.
That wasn't even the worst part. This started to spread around the school.
