Lilia and Drew sat on the edge of the bed, arms around each other, just holding each other for a few minutes as Lilia calmed down.
"I always thought being a mermaid was something I would have to keep from every human I encountered" she finally said. "Thank you for proving me wrong."
Lilia kissed Drew deeply and the world seemed to slow.
"It's just what any man should do for any woman, human or mermaid" he said when their lips parted.
"It could be mermaid for awhile. I have no idea why the serum would've stopped working or how long I'll be like this."
"I can call out of work tomorrow and that will give us a three day weekend to get things figured out and get you legs back for work on Monday."
Lilia gave a mischievious grin. "But not before Monday?"
"I wouldn't mind getting to know the real you..." said Drew.
He gently ran a hand down Lilia's tail and she invontarily trembled.
"Do that again."
He did and she trembled again at his touch. She had of course been intimate with Drew, but always in human form. Nobody had ever touched her tail like that and the feeling was electric.
Lilia grabbed Drew and kissed him, not quite the same way this time. Then she pulled away and pulled her dress off over her head, tossing it to the floor. Her panties had been shredded by the transformation and she wore no bra; her breasts were much more pert than her human counterparts and, contrary to how she'd seen a few depicted in human art, mermaids wore no such things. Then she lay back on the bed.
Drew took a moment to look over his mermaid fiancée: a classic orange fish tail longer than the legs of her human form, the scales transistioning to skin at her waist, and her upper half seemingly unchanged between forms.
"You are a beautiful woman, Lilia, but you may be an even more beautiful mermaid."
Drew kissed Lilia and they began working together to unbutton his shirt.
