Jenny's sobs eventually subsided. Her expanded root feet soaked up the nutrients of the new soil and eased the hunger she had been feeling. Unable to move, she called out to Becky, but all was silent and still. The school had been emptied for the weekend. Jen hoped Becky was looking for her somewhere in the hallways.
Jen leaned her stalk toward the door, not twenty feet away, but for a plant girl who could not move, it might as well have been a mile. She looked out at the window at the trees bordering the school and brushed against a dusty pane with her unnatural vine fingers. She looked at them with disgust and cradled her throbbing melon-breasts. At the moment, the thing Jen missed most about her stolen humanity was the ability to lay down. She caught a glimpse of her new form on a panel of mirrors opposite her spot, put in to reflect sun throughout the greenhouse. She began to stare at it.
Seeing herself as a mutated, yet somehow alluring plant girl scared Jen to death. Her eyes fixated on the daisy located where her vagina used to be and she wondered if she would ever feel pleasure there again. Her eyes drifted up to her long green neck and face, surrounded by yellow petals. She had only a tuft of brown hair on her forehead, which ended where the petals began. "Now what's happen-" Jen stopped speaking as her vocal cords stretched out, leaving her voice deeper. In the mirror pane, she watched her jaw square out as her cheek bones grew more prominent. Jen felt her throat with a vine finger, surprised to find an adam's apple growing on her once slender neck.
In the voice of what sounded like a sixteen year old boy, Jen muttered "I am turning into a... plant boy?"
Jennifer's breasts flattened completely, leaving only dark green nipples behind. Her, now his, mouth widened in shock, dark green lips visible in a large "O". Jen flushed a deep green in embarrassment and jerked his arms up as Becky threw open the door to the greenhouse and ran inside. She took no notice of his even newer appearance or behavior.
"Becky, help me!" Jen didn't even bother covering up her new daisy stalk, muscular vine arms reaching towards his friend. "I'm a plant-boy now! Something turned me into a guy! I used to be a plant-girl, and before that a regular girl but..." Jen's voice trailed off when she noticed the strange look Becky was giving him.
"Ben, you've always been a plant boy. You're so weird. The guys dug you up again, huh?"
Becky began to shovel around Ben's roots, shaking her head and directing death threats to the other boys under her breath. Jen... no, Ben, could only wonder what would happen to him next.
