The rest of that night was still a blur. I remember being handcuffed, being read my rights, and being handed a towel to clean the come of
myself, then being herded into a squad car with nothing but that same towel to cover my decency.
The next thing I remember is waking up in a cell. A holding cell at the police station. It was a small, tiled room, with nothing but a bench, a
toilet and a layer of grime. I was alone. By then I was wearing a jumpsuit I'd been given. I didn't think it had been cleaned since the last owner.
I could hear the police officers having a christmas party nearby. I felt like crying.
"Chin up," said Runt, "Might never 'appen."
I looked up. Once again, he was lying on the ceiling. This time, he was wearing a suit but no shoes. It looked expensive. Even with his body
covered I felt myself going hard. I cursed.
"Why have you done this to me?" I pleaded.
"You tried to 'ave me arrested," he said.
"You wouldn't leave! And you were doing things to my head."
"But you were being so uncooperative," he smiled, "I only want to have a little fun but you make things so difficult. Honestly, tell me you're
unhappy with what I did."
I didn't answer. I'd be lying if I said he was wrong. Instead, I said, "Get me out of this mess!"
"Hey, hey, hey," he cooed, "Sure thing. Looks like you're gonna have to play my little game after all. What's the plan, then, guv'nor?"
"What's the plan!? Change me back, you idiot!"
He tutted. "I'll do anything for love," he said, "But I won't do that."
"What?"
"You heard me. I'll change you into anything you want, whenever you want," he smiled, "But I'll never change you back to your old self."
I let out an involuntary wail of despair. "Please..." I said quietly.
"What's the matter with you?" He said, genuinely bewildered at why I was so unhappy, "I'm giving you the power to be whoever and whatever
you want, for as long you live. The only drawback is that you can't be you, and who likes being themselves? There's people who would kill for
an opportunity like this. Want me to find one of them?"
"No!" I shouted, not caring if an officer heard and asked why I was talking to the ceiling, "No, please stay."
"That's what I thought. Now, how do you intend on getting out of here?"
I looked around the room. There was no escape as a human, even one as attractive as I was. But maybe as something else...
