Jake was a little unnerved; yesterday he was pretty toned, and today he had a belly? Something wasn't right.
As he checked himself over in the mirror his mind wandered back to what the guy in the mall had said.
"Huh," he mused, running his hands over his slightly fatter stomach. He trailed his hand gently under his
navel, pinching at the small amount of fat that had accumulated there. "Nothing really," he thought as he
traced his hands over to his sides, "not even love handles." His pecs were still well defined, if not now just
a bit fleshier. If anything, he thought the added few pounds just made him look more filled out in an
attractive fashion.
Jake shrugged his shoulders, "I ate a lot last night. No big deal. This'll be gone in a few days with some
discipline."
Jake ran the water and stepped into the shower. The water was hot and soothed his nerves.
When he got downstairs, he was greeted to the absence of a family and a bowl of cereal. His parents had
already left for work, and with no siblings, Jake had the house to himself until he left for school.
Jake sat down at the table with his cereal, wearing his customary tee shirt and jeans. His favorite outfit
today, in fact. When Jake checked himself in the mirror before coming down, he reminded himself of why: this
shirt hugged his chest just slightly, making it look masculine and strong, and the cuffs of his sleeves tugged
gently at his defined arms. Jake looked good and he knew it.
But today, he looked even better, he reminded himself scooting closer to the table and grasping the spoon in
one hand. The extra few pounds puffed out his frame just slightly, and with the added thickness to his face,
Jake just looked more attractive. He inched a little closer, dissatisfied with the distance between himself
and the table. Jake's few extra pounds wobbled gently, perched precariously atop the waist of his jeans.
Jake dipped the spoon into the cereal and brought the first bite up to his mouth, milk dripping from the spoon
as he did so.
Crunch, crunch, crunch, swallow. Another spoonful. Crunch, crunch, crunch, swallow.
The small swell of his miniature paunch grew ever so slightly.
Crunch, crunch, crunch, swallow. Swell.
Another spoonful.
Crunch, crunch, crunch, swallow. Swell.
Slowly. Gently. Carefully, like a tiger sneaking in on its prey, Jake's few extra pounds slowly swelled under
the influence of his breakfast. It edged over his pants a little more each time, another centimeter here,
another centimeter there, his pudge grew.
Crunch, crunch, crunch, swallow. Swell.
His thighs didn't go untouched. Solid cylinders of muscle carefully padded out just the slightest bit,
swelling with the added pudge. His already round, pert butt cheeks twitched and gained a little more weight.
Crunch, crunch, crunch, swallow. Swell.
His tummy leapt millimeters ahead, rounding itself out. What was before just a little pudge, was now a tummy
in its own right. No longer just a few extra pounds laying flat against a solid form, as he sat, his tummy
gracefully rounded itself out, thickening with each spoonful of cereal and milk he shoved without noticing
into his mouth.
He lifted the bowl to his mouth to drink from it directly, pouring the last bits of milk down his throat. With
each greedy movement of his adam's apple as he swallowed, his body imperceptibly grew. His tummy
appreciatively rounded out some more.
It was only another two, maybe three, pounds at most. But his body knew the difference. Powerful thighs found
themselves thicker, pert butt cheeks found themselves more fleshy and round, his chest found itself a little
more puffy, and his tummy rolled lazily forward, just an inch over the band and into his lap. Sated, the tummy
lay quietly in wait for its next meal, its next chance to overtake its prey.
Jake lurched the chair back and stood, rising with the bowl. Walking over the sink, Jake didn't notice the way
his jeans had to stretch a little more over his legs or his ass. Nor did he notice the way his stomach had the
slightest of bounce to it. Jake simply went through his day in his head: he had finished breakfast, now it was
time for school.
And why was he still hungry?
