Cal almost immediately ran off, followed closely by Gabe. The other three players had to run after them and tell them to stop. However, they couldn't seem to agree on why they stopped the two. Will, however, was the first to speak.
"Are you nuts? You never stay on the ground in the forest. The beasts have a harder time getting you if you're in the trees, and the bandits will be easier to avoid too." He said.
"Well I guess you're right," said Logan, "but it's more important that we stick together. Strength in numbers right?"
"Yes Logan you're right. Will, you're dead wrong. Don't you guys read fairy tales? Bad stuff happens when we get off the path." Said Rebeca.
"Fairy tales? This is an M game. We don't even acknowledge those things here." Cal said.
"You're bright yellow and a six year old." Said Rebeca.
"How about we vote? My brother says this is a democracy and that voting is how we solve problems." Gabe suggested.
"OK fine, all for walking on the path and waiting for Bandits and wolves to pick us off?" Asked Cal.
Shockingly, no one raised their hand.
"Alright, who's for wasting time climbing trees and being attacked by every bird and bug in the forest?" Rebeca asked.
Once again, no hands.
"This is ridiculous. Flip a coin." Scoffed Will.
"We're orphans man. We don't give loot." Logan said.
"OK then, new plan. We get stuff from the nearest town." Will said.
With luck, they were right next to a signpost. To the left it read 'forest 200 ft.' To the right it read 'Brownsville 4 ml.'
"Brilliant idea. Let's go walk four miles without any shoes and with a time limit." Cal said.
"You're serious? This is an MMO. Four miles will take a matter of minutes. An hour at most." Logan said.
"I'm used to the sci-fi stuff, so I have no idea what to do." Gabe added.
"Slayers are more modern day style, so I'm lost too." Rebeca said.
"Noobs." Cal scowled.
"Wait, we're kids." Logan said, obviously thinking of something.
"Go on." Will prompted.
"We don't flip coins. We play Rock Paper Scissors." Logan said.
"Fair enough." Agreed Rebeca.
With that, Rebeca and Cal got ready. After four turns of draws, Rebeca won, rock to scissors.
"Best two out of three!" Cal complained.
"Are you role playing or are you actually a little kid?" Rebeca quipped. Stills, she got ready for another round.
This time, Cal won, paper to rock. While the other three tried to put together a few fishing poles, Cal and Rebeca locked each other in a steely gaze and prepared for what they were certain was the most hardcore round of Rock Paper Scissors ever. After another few rounds of draws, a winner was finally declared. The winner was...
